Tommorow I going to be the owner of one of those systems, but which one? In that I need your help >< ok so her we go: Ipod Touch 2g: Good music player Got louder speakers then the psp Got faster internet and a flash player Got some cool games like Hero of Sparta, Kroll, Real Racing (which i think is the graphic kind of the system right now) (anddddddddd no i dont think that the option for touch screen is a plus for the Ipod -.-) PSP 3000: Normal music player Alot of games and more nice games then the Ipod Bigger Screen (to watch movies, clips or even just for games) Now i am not blind -.- ofcourse i see that the psp graphic is better (although i think Real Racing looks better then any game) but i think it will take time till the developers will get how to develop more beautiful games for the Ipod. By-the-way if someone can answer me this question i would be happy: i know that the Ipod proccesor is faster the the psp so i would like to know if someone can tell me about the GPU, which one have the better one? Ohh and i am not sure that i said all the plus for each system so if you got something to add just write me =] Also now you like going to say: "Its simple just choose if you into games then the psp if you into music and multimedia then the Ipod" but its more complicated >< cause as you know Appel (even if she is not counted as a competetor in the portable gaming systems industry) is still anounced that she want to get into that market and this is what she did by making some really nice games like I noticed above and if only she had more of that games I would choose the Ipod without doubt but because right now she doesnt have much of them and i am afraid that even if i will choose the Ipod it will take years until i get some cool games for that system... although i do see that games do come out for that system from time to time, like: Doom Resurrection, and Zanonia, and i know that there is coming so great games for it like: Worms, Bioshock, LiveFire (KillTest), Plush (which look just sick!!! in a good way =P). The psp is a diffrent story, the system designed for games so it will always will have support (although the last year was wick i think >.

Also please answer me on this question:

Is there is a Tax on consoles or video games?

I am really sorry for the double (thirs now>LastCure

Delete the second post. It is in the drop down menu

And it is really simple.

Do you mainly use it for music? Go with the iPod because it is awesome at that.

Do you mainly use it for games? Go with the PSP because it is awesome at that.

It is entirely up to your uses.

the iPod's GPU is capable of roughly half of the Dreamcast in vertices and supported hardware effects are about the same but the game library isn't very large. There are a lot of time waster freebies.

The PSP has a decent media player but it is not as evolved as the iPod and can get frustrating as hell.

Plus making the screen turn off and then locking the thing was a pain in the older (includeing 3000) versions but that could be fixed in the GO i don't know.

the 3000's screen pisses me off too.

But that last one is just me

You made a veryy bad comparison and basically answered your own question. If you want the Ipod/PSP for music thne get the Ipod if you want a portable for games then get the PSP. Simple as that.

First off, the PSP has louder speakers than the touch. The touch does have faster internet, but it does not include a flash player whereas the PSP does. The iPod is a much better music player over all though.

Ipod Touch 2g can play Youtube and that means it does have a flash player bilt in.. although the PSP cant play Youtube so that means it doesnt have... Also i didnt asnwer my question... cause i the Ipod does have great games right now and have so great games coming up in the future but the psp has an already built in library and a ton of games that will take me a lot of time to go through... so it not a choice of you like music --> Ipod, you like games --> PSP i need a real advice of someone that mayne knows better then me... like does the games on the psp get anoying faster or does the Ipod ones, which one have more options in it... stuff like that.

Why do you keep referring to Apple in the third feminine person?

If you travel/commute a lot, Ipod. Otherwise PSP.

Also, Ipod has simpler games since it's limited by the touch and tilt control schemes.

The games I've played on Ipods have all been crap (the controls aren't great), except for this one kid who had a gameboy emulator and had a lot of the original gameboy games, and GBA games. But even then the controls were kind of wonky. I played pokemon.

if your tech savy then psp beats ipod

because psp has all the same features as ipod but better games, that is, if your tech savy

if your tech savy you can play downloaded movies on your psp, from youtube, or from your movie backup drive on your pc to your psp

you also get a bigger screen than ipod

easier access to movies via playstation network, no credit card needed, or buy from the store instead of playstation network, no credit card needed...

you can get a d-link portable wireless router for wifi internet access wherever you are

Add the iPhone 3G S into the equation and you have all the phone +ipod features. Also the 3G S has a faster 625mhz A8 Arm11 processor and the PowerVR SGX stomps the Media Engine in the PSP.For one it supports Pixel Shaders and Per Pixel Lighting that the PSP does not. You are talking OpenGL 2.0 and DX9 SM3.0 support here. Once the 3G S games start to come bye bye PSP. Plus the iPhone and iPod touch games are compatible with each other. With both having over 50 million units sold and 35,000+ games. There is a reason why PSP GO and DSi is copying the iPhone apps model just as are all smartphone manufaturers. Plus that is not counting the dedicated VPU, multi-touch screen, adhoc bluetooth and wifi multiplayer, accelerometers, and 3rd party USB controller support we are going to now see after OS3.0 .Also the3G S has 256MBRAM vs the 32/64MB in the PSP.

You can pretty much put videos on BOTH the psp and the ipod touch. You can stream youtube on the ipod touch but not the psp. I haven't encountered a site that catered to streaming video to the psp but i only got my psp 2 weeks ago. I have come across a few sites that cater to the ipod and video streaming. For browsing the psp browser is pretty much GARBAGE. It usually cannot render a page properly and can only open 3 tabs and usually runs out of memory before loading 2 out of 3 tabs. I have posted on gamespot forum using the ipod touch so yes the ipod touch can enter sites like gamespot. the ipod cannot render sites made entirely with flash.

Put it this way. iPod's are meant for music.

The DS/PSP are made for playing games.

the ipod has a plug-in sort of... for youtube links. not a flash player. the PSP does have flash. the only reason it can't play youtube is that it doesn't have enough memory.

PSP is good for music and can do video. I think it's worth mentioning that the PSP only plays mp4 video files. Converting to mp4 is usually a snap unless you are converting mkv with subtitles.

I had similar decision and I chose Ipod Touch. Just because I needed a music player and I already have DS for gaming, so I just got Touch. So far I had no problems with Touch and music is great. The games on app store aren't anything you can compare to DS and PSP retail games, but they are good time wasters. Video quality is great, same as sound. I usually spend my time browsing the net, because it actually is very fast but sometimes get annoying because you can't view a lot of videos other then youtube.

PSP. The iPod Touch is overrated, and is a horrible value. Apple's products, in general, are horribly overpriced, even more so than Sony's(which are also overpriced, just not as ridiculously). The PSP has everything the iPod touch has, but the iPod touch has very short games with poor control schemes(no buttons).

the ipod does NOT have flash. It has youtube vids that are optimized for it that are not flash based. I have a 2nd gen ipod touch and a psp3000 and to be honest I love them both. For browsing the internet, email, youtube, music and movies go with the ipod touch. For games go with the psp. Ipod touch games are usually gimmicky.

I will correct you a bit. Have you bought or rented movies on the new PSP store? The quality kills the ipod. The resolution is hot, and the screen is bigger. The file size is twice as big as a similar ipod download though.

So I say internet (including youtube)and apps for Ipods, games and movies for psp (although there are more titles available on Itunes).

Music is about the same for both. There are many sites to buy music from that can be put on a psp, including some from Itunes.

Oh, and THE BOONDOCKS is only on Sony's store (not Itunes or Zune/Marketplace). So in this case, PSN for the win. ;)

I think both. I do msn messenger on PSP. Used to do Yahoo too, but they must have changed something as it no longer works. The only thing is, you can watch news clips on MSN on the Touch, but cant see them on the PSP. If they fix that (Sony) I would be happy.

Also, google works quite well on a psp. And gamespot's Touch friendly site version look very good on the psp too, but again it cant watch the videos that are posted.
