I don't see the irony in Nintendo getting exclusives and PS3 losing them. Those games you mentioned were never slated for the PS3/360. So...it's not really "losing" any exclusivity. Just because previous games appeared on the PS2, doesn't mean it stays on the PS brand. Christ, what is with people?siLVURcross
yes but sometimes devs. start planning a big sequel for a certain system, like monster hunter 3 for ps3 or final fantasy 7 for n64, even showing footage of said game running on that system, like MH3 and FF7, but then due to public demand, and sales, and easier costs they change perspective and make it for the more popular, cheaper system.it always happens, PS2 was the same way, so was GB, DS, etc. sony used to be the choice platform for titles like dragon quest, and fatal frame, and monster hunter, now they aren't.
it isn't that they lost exclusive games already in development per say, its that they failed to meet 3rd party expectations or put contrainsts on 3rd parties from making games for their platform so 3rd parties decided to take very hardcore franchises like fatal frame, monster hunter, and dragon quest
another thing is those final fantasy spin offs are mostly good, people keep dogging them
my life as a king got generally positive reviews for trying somethin new, ign gave it a 7.9 or something
fables is a classic RPG, echoes of time is a sequel to a criticially acclaimed Co-Op RPG adventure game as well
yet ps3 gets 13 and versus 13 which may or may not see light of day in America until well into 2010, four years after ps3s release
by then wii could already have 4 FF games, whether you like those 4 or not, they're doing something different than the tradtitional FF series on PS
