BC was cancelled on PS3, which is really funny because i would rather they had no Wi-fi and Bluray but add BC instead, since BC means vastly bigger game library, wif-i and bluray mean little to me

i actually prefer bluray and wifi, way more than ps2 bc. You can just buy a ps2 for really cheap picked mine up for £35 with like 2 games, hardly breaking the bank if you are that desperate for it. Plus the ps2 plays ps2 games way better than a ps3, and i can use it on my crt screen and have my ps3 on my hdtv.

It can play PS1 games, not PS2. It's a real bummer, yep.

Every PS3 can play PS1 games, but not PS2. So you could say the PS3 is 50% backwards compatible.

Yes but it doesnt upscale, use a standard save bank, no wireless controller, uses up more space, MUCH improved graphics etc...

is it really improved graphics though as i have my wii hooked up to the hdtv via component and it looks like ass, even though that doesn't upscale, but i would presume a crt screen would much better suite the purpose. I would like ps2 bc too, but the guy said he would prefer to have it rather than wifi and bluray, which to me is not a trade i'm willing to make as i use both.

I'm surprised there's no Lemmings or Sheep in here flamming how they can play Halo/Mario Sunshine or whatever.

It is odd though.

Why PS1 games but not PS2.

Makes no sense.

The PS3 and 360 upscale games, the Wii doesnt hence why it looks like ass. Trust me, that makes all the difference. In fact putting an interlaced image into a progressive scan display only makes it look WORSE, hence the case for you Even on the 360, going from 480p to 1080p, you can see a huge difference in some games.

I believe the launch ps3 40gb is the only one that is bc with ps2. But something tells me that's not the one you're talking about.
