Is a PS3 worth getting right now?

I've been saving up this summer from my joband have enough money to get more 360 gamesor aPS3. But am wondering if thats the right choice. Two games I wanted were Layer and Warhawk and I heard they flopped on PSM. I was also checking out what AAA titles the PS3 has now and found that there all ports. Oblivion and Rainbow Six on the 360 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a port of Ninja Gaiden Black on the Xbox. All great games but ones i've already beaten. Should I spend the money on a PS3 or just buy a bunch of 360 games? And if a PS3 what big games are there that won't be on the 360?

PS3 is a waste of time right now if you want to play games.

360 has more AAA, and more AA, and more A, more than the PS3, and WII combined. If you want to play games 360 is the only way to go. PS3'sbest AAA gamesare hand me down 360 games... That us LEMMINGS were playing a year before the COWS. Just look at the all the GS's 360's reviews sorted by score, and compare to GS's PS3's top scoring games, you will find the 360 is representing all good catagories, and in much more variety, and in better quality. There is just so much more to play, and do on the 360... The 360 has better multiplats also, 60fps on the EA lineup compared to 30fps on the PS3.

Games just play smoother on the 360, and at least M$ makes right on 360 failures, by 3 year retroactive warrenty.. Sony never did that with the PS2 hardware failures! M$ stands by it's hardware, you would have to pay extra for the PS3 to have a 3 year warrenty.

Dont belive the hot air of COWS the PS3 is a great machine, but it just lacks in software, and that's the facts jack! Go into a Gamestop, or any store that sells console games, and look at how much bigger the 360 display is than the PS3 display. You can argue about fanboy ideals all day or what might come out, however the 360 has the goods now!

Yeah I guess i'll wait for a price drop or for some of the big names for the PS3 to come out. I cant wait to see what a next gen God of War looks like. Plus with all the great games coming out for 07 it would be better to spend it on games rather then a system and one or two games.

It WOULD be worth 500, even 600, if there were some games. Right now, it might be worth about 100 bucks, and that's assuming you get a few multiplats for free.

Buy the 360.

it depends on how much later ur willing to wait.if u got any plans at all on buying a ps3 be4 next march. now is the perfect time to get one cause u get a 60 gig for 500 bucks+ the 5 free blue ray movie deal.or u can wait a month and pay 600 bucks for the 80 gig with motorstorm- the ps2 chip. ied say by march the 80 gig will be 500 or less

anothing thing maybe its just me. but i always like to own all systems be4 i stock up on games.

i own a wii but only bought wii play,zelda bought wiiplay because i needed the extra wiimote.

i own a ps3 and prolly will only buy warhawk cause i need a head set.

but after i save and get a 360 i can spend on the games for each system i want.untill then gamefly is great lol

I got a ps3 and to tell the truth I kinda regret buying it, I should have waited for mgs to be realeased.

Well thanks everyone I have more then enough advice now. I'll spend the money on great 360 thisyear and by the time the PS3 gets a price cut and some of the big named games i'll have enough money to buy it.xXHackettXx
