I asked this question in a forum a year or so ago, and the only reason anyone could give me to own a PSP is illegal stuff.

I'm not interested in illegal stuff, so is the PSP worth owning outside of its less legitimate uses?

I'm thinking about getting a PSP go, because it looks more comfortable to play.

Army of Two doesn't sound that interesting. Is the Resident Evil RE1 all over again? Assassin's creed and LBP might be good...

I use my psp to watch movies, hold pictures, videos, as a mpg player and games. I have 2 dsi's for my daughters andthey haveway more games on them. The psp graphics are way better though even though it has a limited amount of games on it. I don't mind since most my gaming is played on my 360. I think its well worth the money.

Yes it is worth it, I use mine everyday solely gaming for at least 2 or 3 hours, the coolest handheld console ever.

I like good games. That means RPGs, Action, Adventure, Puzzle, etc... I'm pretty picky though. Was it RE1that he was referring to?

That's a good list.

The main reasons I'm thinking about getting a PSP is because I'm interested in the new Metal Gear Solid game coming out, Patapon looks catchy, and I like the idea of Remote Play.

Yeah the new MGS is going to be great like the rest are, and the beats in Patapon will get stuck in your head lol. Theres not alot you can do in remote play, except play ps1 games, browse the internet on your ps3, folding@home, or download stuff on psn.

It's library of quality titles is pretty small. I'd advise on not buying it.

Katamari Damacy is a novelty, and I think I'll wait until it comes out for $10 on PSN download if I ever want to bother with that game.

Ratchet and Clank would have excited me three years ago, but after playing all four of the PS2 games, I'm pretty much done with the Ratchet and Clank series.

lol, katamari is such an old psp game that you can probably get it for like 5 bucks right now :P

and, the Ratchet and Clank on the PSP is a nice refresher from the ones on the PS 2/3, it is more (at least in my experience with it) platforming focussed then the other ones were.

But even if all of these still do not impress you there is still the rest of the list that he posted.

I don't think as a gaming platform the psp is really worth it. Unless you're a huge fan of sony branded games(FF, MGS, Socom), and if that was the case you'd already own a psp.

Still I feel that if you buy a 4gb memory stick, and transfer your dvd/tv collection to a psp format then the psp is well worth it's price tag.

Last week, I bought my PSP, solely because the news had reached me that FF7 was available for download from the PSN. I bought Crisis Core to start off my PSP game collection, and I plan on buying Dissidia. I don't know what else I'd get, but what I already have makes the purchase feel worth it. This comes from a guy who previously owned only a DS, like he had for the last five years. I say find at least three or four exclusives that you're really interested in and there you go. Music and video uses are icing.
