I was wounderng, since most PS3 games are gonna be seen on the 360 which one will most pick?
Dont give me that 1080p PS3 crap, because I dont really care, and all games scale anyway. Besides I cant really tell the diffrence form 1080i and 1080p anyway.

But personally, I have both systems and I have bought all multiplatform game's for my 360, mainly because I can work on my gamerscore on that version.

I dont care to much about my score, but it's just one more reason to pick up a 360 version of a game.

Yeah, I think its a big reason to go 360 on multiplats. It just makes it more fun to me, trying to keep up with my friends scores (which im not doing a good job on).

i don't think achievements will make the difference for buyers, but it will keep the xbox fanbase playing and buying games.

Microsoft did not expect achievements to be as big as they became. They acknowledged this a few weeks ago and began rolling out the xboxrewards program. I think achievements will get bigger as more and more rewards / challenges are offered.

Achievments are like drugs, you always want more, but you also want to stop, but you can't

I think they will make a huge difference to people buying multiplats, and people buying games in general. So yes, I think they are a success, not sure how secret it is though.

Achievement system is great. It adds replay value to games and it keeps you buying more games. MS benefit and so do I

It's more of a motivator when I play games all the way through than I thought it would be.  If only just to see that little message pop up saying "Achievement Unlocked" every time you do something amazing in a game.  Having a high gamer score at least sets you apart from casuals.

I hate achievements; they ruin online games like R6 Vegas and Gears of War. Because of achivements I can't play ranked games with my friends online. Thanks Microsoft. :|

Thats not microsofts problem. That is the developers being lazy. That came out when Cliffy B tried blaming Microsoft for the lack of party system in Gears of War Ranked Party play. Microsoft has stated recently they are looking to require developers to include online capabilities on par with Halo2 in the future.

Yes it is Microsoft's fault. Do your research my friend.

A first time buyer may not see their value at first.

But eventually, they show their worth as a great motivator to push through a game and even replay it.

I would even go so far as to call it a small phenomenon with 360 games.

I seem to remember an article or quote from somone working on Halo 3 saying their game would let people play with their friends in ranked games, and he didn't know why Gears couldn't do it.

The only complain I have against them, is that I dont like achievments for killing people with certain weapons.
Like in Gears Of War I always here "let me have the sniper! I only need 20 more kills!"
Besides that, I love them.
