Is Activision and Sony scared of Titanfall?

basically the 2 head dev's on call of duty modern warefare and previous call of duty games built titanfall

these guys created call of duty basically thyee made it popular is activision worried at all or just nah there not big enuff?

and what aabout sony its not be released on their platforms so are they worried or just nah?

Activision are likely terrified, The latest call off duty, their flagship series that has 4 studios working on between all releases, completely bombed and is now following the same route medal of honour took when call off duty released. Activision put all their stock into CoD, and now it's failing, they won't know what to do except hope on destiny. If Titanfall didn't exist CoD may not have bombed so much.

Sony are probably cautious about it, but aside from platform competition it isn't going to really be directly competing with any of their games in that time.

They have Destiny and while COD lost sales and was looking tired the next COD will still probably outsell Titanfall.

@muffin2020: while Treyarch will undoubtedly make a far superior CoD game to Ghosts, the damage has been done to CoD, Ghosts ruined the franchise and Titanfall may prevent fans from returning to try the Treyarch title.

@ProtossX: while they won't compete directly with each other, you are definitely underestimating Bungie here, I think Destiny will be the better game when it eventually releases

Yeah i'm sure they are afraid of 6vs6 MP. COD will still sell like hotcakes. Killzone has sold over a million units already. Sony has nothing to fear.

I think ms is scared that it's getting destroyed in sales compared to Sony this gen. TitanCoD won't save them. And with playstationNow on the way...ms fate is sealed.

@ProtossX: Activision probably doesn't care with Call of Duty, Modern Warfare & Black Ops game rotating every 2 years and still selling millions. As long as they continue to sell 7-8+ million, Activision will continue to make them. Sony only has the mediocre KZ:SF to fall back on. I don't know if they have any other exclusive FPS in their future lineup. They probably don't care either though since their system is selling so well and they will have a lot of 3rd party support who will make FPS in the future. The only ones who care about Titanfall is EA, Respawn, lems, hermits and bias hateful fanboys who can't have it on their game console.

Nah..., I don't think so. Microsoft could literally buy their way to victory if they wanted to and monopolize the gaming industry, but they aren't EA or Activision. With Xbox 360 heading toward 90 million sold, they know they still have a solid place in the business and will do very well.

Activision should be. CoD has been damaged by Ghosts mediocrity and Battlefield 4. TitanFall will be another major blow. CoD will live but the franchise certainly peaked last gen and now the downfall has begun . Only Destiny can save Activision
