Is anyone seeing a trend of "Getting a PS3 in the future"?

There's been quite a bit of "PS3 or Wii or 360" or "Will you get a PS3" thread.

A lot of the responses had been "I'm getting a PS3 when this game comes out" or "I'll get it sometime in the future".

And I remember an interview with Joystiq where Jack had said that it doesn't matter how fast a console sells. Sony made the PS3 to last and whether the consumer buys a PS3 now or later, the PS3 is still being bought and that's one sale down the road.

Development support stems from sales numbers, so selling early on is important.

That said, I will probably pick PS3 over 360, sometime in 2008.

I knew even before each console came out that I'd most likely get each at one point or another, so it's not just the PS3 for me any way.

I got the Wii for Super Paper Mario and I know I want Super Mario Galaxy, Endless Ocean, Super Smash Brothers Brawl and a few other games.

I got a 360 because of Gears, Halo 3, Nass Effect, Too Human, Blue Dragon and few other games.

And I know I'll be getting a PS3 for Lair and MGS4. I'd skip out if it were just Lair. I'm a big Metal Gear fan boy. But if Metal Gear goes to 360, I might actually just skip it if theres nothing that catches my attention.

"Amount of support" meaning what exactly? If you mean being mentioned in dumb system wars, kinda silly.

Whats the difference between a trend and a fad? If there's no difference, I guess the Wii being a fad isn't a bad thing.

Was Katamari a big seller? I mean those are probably all fine games, cept DW6, but its just not stuff that's gonna inspire people to spend 600 bux on the system.
