everything about Assassins Creed im hearing is mixed... all the reviews were mixed with 9's and 7's.. all the user reviews im hearin are mised with BUY THIS GAME or THIS GAME SUCKS... bah!!! my brother bought assassins creed for me for christmas but i cant play it yet.. im sort of worried .. im hope im not on the side that thinks its not worth it.. looks fun to me!
Definite rental/bargin bin, its good but repetitive and short. You might as well save your $60 for one of the other bajillion good games out right now.

THe story is ok but when it finally picks up it pulls a Halo 2.
What would i rate it, 8.5 because the gameplay is fun but kevin the reviewer really did overrate it a little.....than again all his reviews have sucked.
The game's boring....Story sucks...gameplay great, nearly everything repetitive, limited dialogue,itsa worthless boring adventure. I regret buying this piece of ****.I will be trading this game.
I can't remember which ad it is in but either BestBuy or Circuit City has it for $37. I think it is worth picking up for $37. Simpsons(PS3) adn COD4 (360) is also $37.

If you want a good tech demo you can't beat it. The tech behind the game is impressive, I just wish they had have spent even 1/8 the time on the actual gameplay.
Its a good game, you will realize that yeah do some missions seem repetive and stupid yes, but patients and killing and stuff like that make the game interesting...
Ignore the scores of the game as it is not one of those games that begin>climax>end with just some 10-15 hour experience. I think it has potential to be great, the combat is simple yet deep enough thatevery time you pull off a counter it feels new and natural. It can get a bit repetative after you've been playing for about 15 hours.
The plot is simple enough but you can get lost if you don't pay attention at the begining. It's sort of a religious and politically charged universe of confusion, especially towards the end. It seems like they ran out of ideas or direction. Adding the topic of religion to your game is not a way to make your game seem more grown-up.
Not many negatives about the visuals except the designers intention was for you to play on a high definition set. There are some really amazing looking moments in the game visually that can only be enjoyed in HD. Will probably have second thoughts about which game is superior visually this gen after playing through ASC:o
In more of a nutshell, it's a good game that I feel wasn't deserving of a "9.0" with its repetativeness and small framerate annoyancesbut it's definitely worth the 16 hours that your going to put into it. It's also not a game that you would want to keep and continue to play, it's just "good."
