Is color your friend?

So there is this thing called color and color has been the center of attention recently thanks to games like Banjo-Kazooie, Mario Galaxy, and the upcoming Diablo 3. So what is your opinion of color? Do you like games with huge palettes like Okami or are you more into the dark, drab color scheme like Gears?

So is color good or evil? Or perhaps neutral?

Vibrant colous are great in certain games, as are less vibrant colors in certain games.

Depends on the game.Gears would lose something if Markus and Dom were running through fields of tulips under rainbows wearing red suspenders with a bright yellow smiley face sun above.xgraderx

I think that would just add to parody, which is a much needed asset in games.
