Buying a 360 just for Dead Rising is like buying a PS3 just for RFOM. Dead Rising and RFOM are great games but you play them in addition to your primary games which are killer aps.
If you have an SDTV don't even think about it. You can't read the text! Other than that the save system is god awful. It's a fun game to be sure and I had a lot of fun unlocking the megaman powerbuster but to me this game is very overrated.

yea, Im a zombie fan(lol) ,so did you like it a lot? or should I pass I like it alot indeed ^^ . But a Single game isn't worth buying a system for . Like I said , Dead Rising was my main reason to buy a 360 , but not the only reason , Bioshock , Mass effect , RE5 and alot of other game interrested me. If other games interrest you , then buy the 360 , but do not buy it for a single game .
No. Why? Because just buying it for one game [even if you are a rich fiend] would not make sense when there are so many other great games just waiting to played.
I don't think it's worth purchasing a 360 for. I do think it's worth purchasing if you have a 360 though. Honestly the reason I "jumped in" was for Oblivion. My laptop isn't strong enough to run the background music probably let alone the game, so the 360 was a good option for me. I've found a lot of other great games too now.
Dead Rising was a very good game. Not a single system seller though as people have already stated. The save system in the game is like that for a purpose. It adds the tension of getting to a save without dying hence its part of the gameplay. People who complain about it are spolied by the real time saving thats been popular for so long. Â
If that is the only game that you are going to play, you might as well just rent or borrow an xbox 360 play the game and return it. It would be alot cheaper then buying it and the 360. Or buy both finish the game and then sell the system and the game on ebay.
Dead Rising is a terriffic game, definately one of 360's best IMO. It has immense replayability. I played through it twice, and each time I did entirely new missions, and fought different psychopaths. Then recently a friend started up a new game, and I saw him running into cinemas and boss fights I hadn't even stumbled across yet, so now I gotta replay it a 3rd time cuz i want to experience it all lol
No one game is worth a system unless it's a really cheap system. In this case, no. It's a real fun game. But I could easily suggest other games but it won't matter because up to you to decide if you like them or not.
Of course not. But fortunately there's a lot more going for the 360 than Dead Rising. That said, Dead Rising is definately worth picking up, if you do get a 360.

Eh... I enjoyed the first half of the game twice very much, and both times I got stuck to where I had to start the game over. I might give it a third go around, but the save system is annoying as crap, which is a shame because the game is so innovative. Still, no, I don't think its worth a 360. While you didn't ask, if your debating, other 360 exclusives are as a collective. As both a PS3 and 360 owner I'd say if your interested in the 360 and have the money to do so, go for it.
Maybe back when it first came out. Now Dead Rising and the L4D series combo might be worth it for hardcore zombie fans. Dead Rising is an amazing game but hundreds of dollars is to much for any single game. PS, don't listen to people whining about the save system, it not bad at all. How DR catches crap about it's save system but Demon's Souls gets GOTY awards baffles me.
No game is worth buying an entire system for. Maybe consider other games? LFD, LFD2, uhhhh zombie apocalpse? Those are the only zombie games i can think of on 360. Anyways look for other games that interest you, and if you can think of some then go for it, but i dont reccomend getting a system for one game, you will leaave yourself dissapointed in the end.
