Is Forza 3 as good as it gets for the 360?

I would say yes. Racing games are usually a graphics showcase for what a system can do ultimately do as far as picture quality graphics. What i mean by that is you usually can get the most photorealitic stuff from a racing game. I believe forza 3 is the pinnacle of that for the 360. I also think gt5 will be that for the ps3. Perfomance is a measure of a lot of things and the fact it usually coincides with racing games on consoles is no coincidence. I believe forza 3 is leveraging the hardware in the 360 to the point where it's getting every ounce of power out of it that it can.

Well enjoy waiting for a release date for GT5. Meanwhile 360 fans already have a release date for their second Forza game this gen.rybe1025

I have a 360. I don't have a ps3. For that reason pretty much. I don't like waiting.

Just from listening to the guy who developed it. Plus just trends in games. Usually racing games are the pinnacle for this stuff. It's really easy to push graphics in an environment such as a racing game i would assume. Usually racing games are the first games to really max a processor and push the best visual stuff. Historically speaking.

I dont care, it looks good enough for me. PS2 managed fine last gen being the least powerful in terms of graphics, i see no problem with the 360 continuing to beat the PS3 with not-as-good graphics. In fact the PS3 should have way better graphics, considering its over twice the price of the 360 (in UK)-DrRobotnik-

Well I watched the gametrialers HD video trailerof Forza3 and I was really impressed at the moment I thought they had cought up with GT5 so I tried to watch the GT5 trailer but it wouldn't play so I downloaded it from the PSN store and .... it's not even close lol.

Forza3 looks like a freaking awsome looking racing game....but GT5 looks frecking real

Both of them are trailers and touched up with unacheivable AA for in game play, but you get a firm idea of the base of the gfx that you'll get while playing and I just don't know what xbox fans were trying to prove when they said that forza 3 looked "better" than GT5 because it's not even close to looking equal.

Maybe, but don't expet it to look like exclusive games made on the PS3.

As good as xbox360 games look, I've noticed one big diffrence when it comes to graphic quality between alot of xbox360 and PS3 games (especilly the racers), they never can relate the impression that you might belooking at something real or rather somethig that isn'tbeing rendered by a videogame, However PS3 games have acheived this task

I don't know if it's in the way that PS3 renders shaders with the Cell (because multiplat games mostly look the same this might be the diffrence in gfx for those exclusives) or what but xbox360 hasn't produced a videogame that dosen't LOOK like a videogame. Not saying that some of those games don't look great, but they always look like a video game.

How many times this generation have we heard from xbox and PS fans alike that Something on the PS3 was "movie" footage or not possible for a "game" because it looked to "real or organic to be real footage"when infact it was real? Hell we have an example just at this years E3 The Last Guardian. All I'm saying is as good a 360 games look don't expect them to look like exclusvie PS3 games becaue it's something about the way they are rendered that makes them look diffrent.

They look completely diffrent other than both being racing games. Forza 3 never even for an instant gives off the impression that could make you thinkg that you're looking at something from real life or on TV...GT5 dose, so no it's not close and in the same breath makes you saying Forza 3 looks slightly better quite rediclious.

I've been hearing the "Xbox 360 is maxed out" talk since Gears of War 1 came out and the system has consistently improved each year. I have no reason to believe that Forza 3 is the pinnacle of the Xbox 360's visual capabilities.

Yep just like when Halo 3 and Gears 2 both released and were the best it got, and "pushed it to the max".
