What makes you think console digital distribution is going to be cheap?
Compare the prices of new retail copies of games to their prices on the current-generation consoles' digital distribution services. You'll find that retail is typically the same price or even less.
Digital distribution is cheap on the PC only because a competitor's service is always a mere click away. Buying from a competing console service requires spending hundreds on hardware so there is no such impetus on competitive pricing.
bunch of fools an trolls in here
dude gamestop is doomed i haven't been in there an years they give u a 5 dollar discount on used games an buy ur game for half the price of what they sell it
id rather say no to them no offense but they annoy me to no end

They're doomed for making profit and selling games? Wat?
Idiot.
lol, I love how pathetic some people are that their entertainment is making fakeboy accounts on the internet and coming up with stupid stuff to say
You are right, and you are one of them. well I don't think you are a troll, just incredibly stupid.bunch of fools an trolls in hereProtossX
Christ, you guys even named the console. :lol:Victorious_FizeEr that is the rumored name. So no, we didn't name crap.

I think its the other way around. Sony would be silly to try and 'eliminate' used game sales, it jus smells like a bad idea

LMFAO i said the exact same thing i was so confused. I sincerely doubt the world is ready for all digital, if they do it will show in their sales how much of a poor decision that was. as for the used game blocking i have no idea in the world how they could incorporate that, i mean once you play your own game its used...so...you cant take it to a friends house? you cant play it if you have multiple ps4? i dont think they will do it.Console gaming will die next gen. It's just the way it is. Everything is moving to a more casual pace, Smartphones and tablets will kill consoles when it comes to this and hardcore gamers are moving to the PC in flocks. None of this looks good for the console market.
I think next gen all of them will try to nix used game sells. Think about how the trend of online passes has come about just the past two years.I think its the other way around. Sony would be silly to try and 'eliminate' used game sales, it jus smells like a bad idea

I dont see why people say that. I mean yeah I think tablets are killing off handhelds but I just dont see anyone playing games like Uncharted, Gears or Battlefield on tablets next gen over consoles. That is, unless those games cease to exist entirely and instead of playing Uncharted 4 on a console, you're stuck playing Angry Birds 3 on a tablet.Console gaming will die next gen. If they do that, they will quickly kill of the essence of consoles. Right from its inception, purchasing used games as always been, its a way of business recycling. Considering the cost of consoles and the potential it would increase next gen, not everyone can afford to be shelling out $60 every time for a new game. That kills off a particular set of consumers and by no means a small one, most of these unnaccounted consumers import their consoles from America and Europe to places like India,Africa,Middle east and so on. I can go on and on about how it would be SONY shooting themselves in the foot by alienating a large share of its consumer base.

consoles will adapt and evolve much like the rest of the industry.

Digital Distribution is not good, IMO. If DD becomes the standard NexGen, I think I'll own far less games than I own now.

Hopefully not.
Same here. I like to feel like I'm getting my $40 worth. DD. doesn't do that for me.Nintendo would be the last one to ditch the physical distribution model if things really did go that way.
Honestly if I can't own a physical copy of a game I don't want to own it.
