Is gametrailors bigger then gamespot?

-Their reviews come out quicker and seem to be better. They offer a complete explanation on why a game gets what it does.

-Quicker on the news

-They update alot more.

Do they have a higher budget?

Gametrailers is easily the best game site out there.

I only come here because of System Wars, and news usually comes fast here.

The thing I don't like about GameTrailers is that they only seem to ever review one version of multiplat games.TyrantDragon55

Those two are by far the biggest. Followed by 1up and then a long way to the rest.

Soon I'll probably remove GS from my bookmarks and replace it with Gametrailers, sick and tired of waiting ages for a bloody review and most of the time It's crap (the review)

according to ttraffic stats i saw, ign was not as big as gs. i guess the bigger forums here more than make up the tv and movie part

its quite funny actually, when eurogamer gave 10 to smg, there were a few threads praising that site

seriosuly....game trailers is so much better than gamespot, the reviews are just so much better....the review videos are actually entertaining unlike this gamespot system.....plus they review key parts of the game (graphics, gameplay, etc.) unlike gamespot with there new review system of pick a number any number...

Nope, Gamespot is bigger, at least according to Alexa. Not by much, mind you, but bigger.

I don't think so . These forums are so much faster , sometimes a stupid thread with a handfull of posts will stay on the first page for quite a while. Anyway if you put all the members of these forums and boards gamespot> gametrailers (in number) turgore

Quantity != quality.

GS is just good for lulz, for actually discussing games it's awful, same with IGN. GT isn't perfect, but I can actually stomach the community. Helps that they don't religiously follow reviews either, or that the reviews themselves actually critique the games for what they are.

Eurogamer has the best writing staff when it comes to reviews. Gamespot has System Wars (seriously the only thing I use this site for because their previews and reviews are just south of atrocious) IGN has good previews, developer blogs, music, DVD, movie, etc. and Gametrailers has excellent videos for free.

IGN and Gamespot must have just about lost it when Gametrailers appeared. At first the site was buggy and slow but getting HD quality movies is something both of them charged a premium for and now you can get them by sitting through a short commercial.
