I guess it might be worth it if GT5 doesn't come out until 2009 and you really want to play Gran Bumper Cars.JiveT
Im prettty sure its going to have Damage. At least teh full GT 5 game is going to have damage.
I'm waiting for the full game because there is no way I'm paying $40 for 5 tracks. I did not exactly feel ripped off by Warhawk and its $40 for 5 maps or anything but I for one would like to nip this whole selling half a game thing in the bud.
The PS3 lineup is full of this crap atm, Socom, Warhawk, GT5, Wipeout and a seperate online disc for MGS.
If we don't take a stand on this now we are all screwed.
i really wanna get it, i loved the prologue demo (demo of a demo lawl). i dont care about damage really. it would be nice i guess, but then again im not a bad driver that i crash into cars and walls all the time.
but over here its coming out i believe near gta4s release date which is really not a good thing.
[QUOTE="GnR-SLaSh"]60 Cars and 5 tracks is good enough for my $40..

Yeah, I mean people pay 60 bucks for motorstorm
It's different now. When that came out it was one of the first highly anticipated releases for the PS3 and there wasn't much else around. Now people have much more choice!
I payed 60 bucks for Burnout Paradise, which has just over 70 cars, and one city. I think GT5 prologue is worth 40 bucks.
On the subject of damage, if damage does make it into GT5, I really hope it's done realistically, and not the half -a$$ed Forza 2 damage. If damage cannot be done right, keep it out of the game. GT5 should be all about the cars and racing anyway. Damage comes second, racing comes first.

I agree with you totally. :D
you obviously haven't played forza. you can change the damage so that it affects the performance of the car, not just cosmetic damage. GT damage has been confirmed, but it won't be on all cars.I payed 60 bucks for Burnout Paradise, which has just over 70 cars, and one city. I think GT5 prologue is worth 40 bucks.

personally, i'm done with GT. i've been done since polyphony screwed me by delaying GT4 forever and not even attempting to put in online.

I actually have Forza 2. The internal damage is good, but the cosmetic is done very poorly. I think Gran Turismo 2 had internal damage just not cosmetic damage.
yes its worth it, 5 courses over 50 cars, online play. Seems like s pretty solid package to me, its not like GT Prologue wasn't released for GT3 and GT4. If you don't want to buy it then, then don't. For the people actually interested in the series this is well worth the money. You can wait for the full version in December anyway.Adrian_Cloud
December?? Where did you get that from?

$40 for what's essentially a glorified demo is too steep a price if you ask me.
Due to my love for simulation racers along the lines of Forza and Gran Turismo, I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up regradless, but I'm not going to like myself for it.
People, it isn't a demo!
It's more of a beta test for their online play. You're paying to beta test their game.
sonicmj1
Well I know it isn't technically a demo but for what you get, the price just isn't right for me.

Same here.
At least when I bought Crackdown, I got a really fun game along with the beta.
didnt people pay $60 for a halo 3 beta?jhonnyboi1134
No, they got a copy of Crackdown, which turned out to be a very fun game, with a free entrance into the Halo 3 beta.
