Is GT5P a demo?
And if it really is a demo, can anybody list down previous demos that you had to pay for? It's insane.

[QUOTE="TheDarkDisciple"]however you want to describe it, it's not the full game. so i guess you can call it a demo.
jangojay
But if we go by this logic GTA4 will be just a demo since it won't be the full game without the DLC!
Oh snap! You just sent him into confusion with that [QUOTE="TheDarkDisciple"]however you want to describe it, it's not the full game. so i guess you can call it a demo.

right..... you know that's not the case at all. and if you really mean that, then it sucks that ps3 owners won't be able to play the full version.
on a crusade tonight huh......
So let's say that 100% of the people vote that it's a demo. Then what? What has been proven?
Can any body list down the things this game is missing? I heard it doesn't have voice chat and car damage?
Anyway, to the fellow that asked "does it matter" well the answer might be "yes" to most people, because most people might want the real full game the beast called GT5 and not a demo.
And to the fellow that asked "what if 100% of people voted its a demo, what's been proven" well seeing that it's proven to be a demo might sway the decision of purchase once again. GT5P is a good game, but GT5 might be better and a better purchase.
Upgradeable car parts is a major downer for me. No voice chat is almost inexcusable, but for the most part only about 10% of people on PSN have headsets in my experiences. Can any body list down the things this game is missing? I heard it doesn't have voice chat and car damage?

everyone knows your a gt hater.
they want the full game? then dont buy prologue and wait.
why would labelling prologue as a demo sway anyones decision in make the purchase. and anyway they dont have to. prologue is for GT fans.
btw people who are buying it you guys need to check out GTTV. they got a 3 part documentary about the nissan gt-r and a documentary about the mitsubishi evo x. if your true motoring fans YOU CANNOT MISS THESE PROGRAMS
I don't consider it a demo. A demo is free and is very limited. This has more content then some "full" racing games on the market right now. IGN could not have put it better:Prologue is a fans taste of Perfection. That statement perfectly describes this game.

So it matters becasue people want the real game? Um the real one will be availiable next year...this is for people that cant wait that long...no ones forcing someone to go out and buy the game...
heck this is better then nothing, am I right?

Well I can tell you one thing, it sure as hell is better than Forza 2. *Puts up massive flame shield*

Man the real game is coming out next year? I guess this GT5P might be a rental, and long rental.

Exactly and I guess since you posted this he wants to turn it into a bashing of GT5P by posting underneath you asking "what DOESNT GT5P have"

And then you read the reviews and decide based on that....that's really al there is to it. You're seriously digging for some kind of"ownage" here really hard.
Calling it a demo is just playing with words, but i guess that's all lems can find nowaday to bash on the ps3.
Considering how much contents it has, if you say it's not worth the 40$ then there isn't much games out there that are worth their price if any at all.
I guess it could be called a demo seeing as it is a demonstration of what we can expect in the full game, however the game has enough content to justify it's price tag.
The way some people go on about how this game is a "$40 demo" clearly don't know how much content this game has, and while it is a demo they make it out as if it has such little content, when in fact a person could be playing this game online all the way up until the final game launches.

Does it even freakin matter? If your thinking about buying the game and need reassurance checkout the video review up on IGN TC but hey Ill be nice and save you the time, its a buy.

I would buy it, but I'm buying 2 full games, Mario Kart Wii and GTA IV, and I would rather spend that $40 bucks on the exclusive episodic content.
I'll rent it though.

So what was the reasoning behind making this worthless thread?

Funny you are buying Mario Kart for the Wii (double dash expansion pack) and then bashing GT5: P for PS3 at the same time. So much for your argument about buying the same game twice.

I never owned a Mario Kart game before, so I guess I won't be buying the same game twice.

Well enjoy it because I love it, just saying if your going to bash GT5: P so much and spend upwards of several 100 posts to do it then it's very ironic that you are buying Mario Kart for Wii with no complaints.

Pro_wrestler
Let me further ellaborate.....
my point is what's the angle? Other threads like "PS3 vs. 360" or whatever, after the results you can have someone say "Oh the PS3 is better because 68% of the people say it's better" In this thread...even if say 100% say it's a demo, then, it's a demo. Nothing has been proven.
I understand nothing has been proven in the other one, but people can pretend to themselves that something has been proven based on the polls results.
you are right it is a demo. its the only demo that has nearly the same content of its full-game counterpart on the 360, and to still cost less than it.
It is a demo compared to what the full game will offer, but when presented as a standalone game, it is not. lemmings will not miss a chance to hate on this game, simpily, not because its a demo, but because there is a full game, and this is only part of it. they dont see it as a demo, they only call it that because its convenient to use in a PS3 bashing arguement.
If it was never called a prologue, and just a standalone final game, it would still be bashed for not having much content, but the praise to hate ratio would be even more on the praise side than it is now.

lemmings aren't the only ones calling it a demo though. I think one point is, since it is labeled a demo, why did Sony charge you $40 bucks for it?
