Is Halo 3 a rushed Xbox port?

I mean the beta did look really bad and besides a few new guns and maps there is nothing new. Forza 2 is basically Forza 1.5, is Halo 3 just Halo 2.5?. Are Bungie cut out for it anymore?, let's look at the evidence.

Nothing at all about the single player graphics, why?, because they're not up to par probably, if you've got a game you're proud of, you will show it off. We saw RE5 two years ago, loads of pics and video of Crysis every week,yet three months away from launch and still nothing on Halo 3 single player graphics, VERY STRANGE AND WORRYING. I think Bungie have run out of ideas and don't have the skills of a developer like Epic to deliver the graphics that lemmings want. Turn 10 let us all down with Forza 2, be honest you expected a lot more, Bungie are doing the same as the beta has shown. And it's not just me, look here for beta players who no longer care about Halo 3

I want it to be great, sadly I think it's going to be rubbish. Bungie already made big mistakes with Halo 2 single player and Halo 3 beta, what makes you think they won't mess up the rest of Halo 3?.

Halo 3 has bad last gen graphics? I'll start with that.

The fact is, we have already played the Halo 3 beta. No one has played Crysis and can comment on how "bad" the gameplay is. THis person is talking from experience with the beta. On the other hand, every review site and mag which has played Crysis said its been extremely fun and whas the potential to revolutionize the FPS scene.

The beta is pretty much the actual game. Thats kinda like me saying warhawk is going to be much better looking and play better once its relased even though it will be out by 2 months or so. The warhawk game will play just like the beta as well as Halo 3 will play just like the Halo 3 beta.

Believe it if you want, but be prepared for the megaton of ownage that will slap you in the face come Sept 25th.

The beta had hardly any vehicles, masses of textures just plain missing, none of the different Spartan armours and their supposed impact on gameplay, any of the new weapons we're pretty much certain are in there. it was just for matchmaking, three maps, with most people never getting into custom games via the glitch...

And it was still fun and kept most people playing till the end.

Value is in the eyes of the beholder, which means everyone has their own opinions, and I think Halo 3 looks fabulous, and is much more than I can say about Killzone 2 a game nobody has seen and seem to hype it AAA-AAAA.

No, it's not just different. It's BETTER. And you really don't realise how much improved and smoother and more refined Halo 3 already is until you go back and play Halo 2 for a bit. I didn't necessarily PLAY badly, I came second on my team before I decided I was totally done, it wasn't that at all. Halo 3 is just already, massively better than Halo 2.

the graphics arent that bad and will get better when it finally arrives.It has new weapons,maps, game modes,vehicles,a new mode where you can video your games,new controlles, and probaly some other stuff they will announce in the future.

And i also rember from an article i read that the single player looks awsome and is very long and it has 4 player co-op.They just want to show the multiplayer first.

I really do not enjoy replying to these type of threads because how naive people are in here. The biggest change was the controls and the addition of equipment which altered the gameplay considerably. It was like the big change from Halo to Halo 2, the hi jacking vehicles and duel wielding, only this is much bigger.

Clearly you don't know Bungie Studios- you're just a thirteen year old who thinks he knows what he is talking about, but you don't have a clue in the world. Bungie has always been tight-lipped about the single player, from Marathon to Halo 2 - always have and always will buddy. As for the graphics - they look great considering it's a BETA and the game can now go through 4 months of pure polish.

I'm afraid you've never seen any campaign footage, but only alpha and beta footage of multiplayer to judge Halo 3 on teh graphics which is in my opinion, retarded. I'll take Bungie's word for it when they say things like the following: "What is going to strike people is scale - that's real stuff way out there, we pushed it as far as we could push it." You're closeminded - and naive. Halo 3 is going to be amazing whether you like it or not. Bungie Studios has realized the mistakes they have made in Halo 2, they're going to fix them and improve upon what was great in Halo 2. For the multiplayer... read my quote from the Bungie.net staff. We've nly seen a mere glimpse of what is to comoe in Halo 3. You've seen all the new armour customizations, you've heard about teh four player co-op. Halo 3 is being working on with guys who did the movies LOTR and King Kong, they're helping Bungie by doing some ofthe cinematics. Bungie Studios has a MUCH larger crew this time around with around 100 guys, and they have an unlimittted budget (plus snacks!). Halo 3 has been in development for 2 and a half years now, so they're not being rushed.

1. The graphics are good and they're making us wait, especially to show off at E3.

2. The graphics are bad and they're trying to downplay it.

and when people got into custom games people realized that there was a lot of stuff new to tweak with your games. but there has been some stuff recently announced that was not in the options meu in the beta, obviously not in that crippled build such as the new vehicles, weapons, gametypes, etc.

Little gravity + super speed+ swords is awesome.
I never thought id say this but halo can be more fast paced than UT.

how about playing with other people in story mode?

It sounds interesting but I can take down the games AI on my own for all that matters. People are still better at playing fps games than the games AI does.

The graphics look great to me and it's probably going to sell because of its gameplay and good story.
