Is Horizon Zero Dawn the greatest open world rpg ever?

From what I've seen I can't think of another game as good. Colin Moriarty called it the 2nd greatest Sony exclusive ever behind TLOU.

While it does look compelling, there are many great open world RPGs. Hell, Zelda BotW looks phenomenal and is an NS system seller for me. Mass Effect Andromeda is open world-ish allowing the exploration of a galaxy.

Lots of great games still to come but there are decades of incredible games that already released. Horizon has some serious shoes to fill if it's to be an "of all time" contender.

No way. It's not out yet, and I haven't played it, but there's no way. It looks good, but you can already see some of the naff stuff too. I'm excited to play it - someday - but that's quite the hype there - for one thing, do you think the RPG elements will actually be deep enough to warrant that title?

And they have not said it's the best open world RPG yet.

Mad Neckbeards are gonna be mad and try and claim that Witcher 3 with its clunky ass controls and last gen character models is the greatest. Guess it's easy to have low standards when you're still stuck playing World of Warcraft and Counterstrike like it's 2004 all over again lol!

Lol no. Nothing I've seen of Horizon puts it in the same league as something like Witcher 3... but hey, each to their own.

It's very impressive IMO I love the witcher 3 but looking at the videos it looks great. The only thing I am worried about is how long it is.

Progressive, thought provoking and empowering. A tour de force.

Skyrim and Witcher 3. Can't beat these two in terms of open world RPG. And looking at reviews it sure doesn't beat these two.
