Is it a culture thing?

This isn't meant to be racist in any way. Is this just a cultural thing? I know people in Asia love Nintendo and will always beat out Sony in terms of hand held games. I have 2 questions. Why is it that Asians love Nintendo and African Americans love Playstation? I can somewhat understand the Nintendo love. The playstation thing, is it because there's a lot of sports titles for Playstation and online is free or is it because it's a name they trust (speakers, amps, cd players, ect.)?

I didn't mean to cause any offense. It's just a general observation I've made in terms of gaming preference. Asians love Nintendo and African Americans (from what I've noticed) love Playstation. In no way do I mean this question to be offensive. If someone takes it that way, I'm sorry. If someone takes this discussion in a racist direction, that's not my intent, and it would be their doings, not mine.Invisible_Kid2

Safe to say you're not serious, no one generalizes a race based mearly from ones experience. Are you joking? Even if you do a research of 10.000 participants, you would still be generalizing. Yes that was your intent, simply because this thread is devoid of any logical foundation whatsoever.

Topic makes me laugh. I was playing L4D a while back and we were discussing consoles, and some kid made a comment that "Black people prefer PS3" And I was like..."Ya know....that might be true. Why is that?" The conclusion was the Playstation line traditionally always had more sports games. As far as I have seen, asians tend to be much less impressed with gratuitous violence, that seems to be an "American" thing, that's probably why they like Nintendo. But this is all BS talk, we're supposed to be individuals right? I must have some black genes in me or something because I prefer my PS3. That would also explain my love of chicken. I have a lot of Asian friends here in the US and most of them have XBox 360s.
