I guess you could own hermits if you dug up those old Crysis threads where they claim you could max the game on very high with a thimble and a bar of soap.

They don't hype games very much in here besides Crysis and that met its hype. A lot of them acted like the Witcher was going to be the greatest RPG ever but I think that met its hype as well. No one really hyped WIC that I know of but that got a 9.5.

Hermits were largely thought to be unownable, until Doom 3.

They can't be owned when they get more than 1 knock out exclusive a year. And when FPS games like CoD4, Las Vegas and GRAW outscores their Xbox 360 versions. When they don't have to rely on year old games such as World Of Warcraft or WC3.

When you show them the sales numbers of all the PC games vs the PS2 game sales and tells them that the fact that it's a lot cheaper to buy PC games and a lot more people have access to a PC than a console.

When I think PC gaming I think back to the days of Diablo 2, Starcraft, Red Alert 2, Baldurs Gate, Grim Fandango, Monkey Island, Half-Life, Unreal Tournament 99, Tribes, Battlefield 1942 and more, not Crysis period....PC used to have awesome exclusive games.

Yeah, thats the most recent example, but back in the day everyone always said that it was impossible to own hermits, and Doom 3 changed that.

Now, people realize that hermits can be owned, it just doesn't happen very often.

Mate ... it says right up the top that its an incomplete list, doesnt show Far Cry for heavens sake which was quite a big game, selling 4 million, it has nothing of recent.

The game doesnt beat every game on console at mid settings sorry not even close and no you cant build a 400 dollar rig to run it smoothly at mid settings as every benchmark shows.

Unfortunately, with the price argument we always bring up the price of the HDTV for yournext-gen graphics. Then you talk about how the HDTV is used for things besides gaming, then we talk about how PC's do other things then games, then the viscious pinch-fest begins.

2. Sales is the weakest ownage on system wars regardless of platform, usually resorted to when one has no other arguments.

I could copy/paste my first post and still prove a better point than you just did. PC games are still leaning on old games, they are still rated lower ( see ratings also ? ) than their Xbox 360 counterparts. A là Oblivion, Vegas, Cod4, Graw. Even though sales might not have something to do with quality all the time it often states the status on a company, genre or such.

Your the one who should try harder and come up with something else than a basic "I-know-better-than-you-because-your-not-me" response.

Thats what I do sometimes. (although it looks a bit better on an HDTV)
