Is It Just Me, Or GTA4 Graphics Is Very Underwhelming? (56k!)

I mean, what is this?

1. The Game isn't done yet...

2. Not Every Screenshot of a game is going to look great.

3. Videos look loads better anyways.

How about you judge after seeing the new trailer tomorrow?

Its not finished, I'm willing to bet that touch up on graphics is one of the last stages of game developement.

Plus, the game is on a huge scale so its graphics probably will suffer,I mean this isn't Factor 5 making Lair :P. Look at the last GTA's graphic's sorta sucked on those too, compared to traditional games. GTA series just will not shine the best of system graphics. Environments probalby hog to much ram as well as, i'd rather have a huge draw distance then pretty graphics up close.

No Motorcycles, No Planes or Helicopters, No Boats. The sequel to Saint's Row better have these things or at least one of them. Also it should use less N words.

Whats wrong with Saints Row gameplay? It's a vast improvement over last gen GTA games.

They only need to add a rear view mirror and auto target that brings it up... So you can select form different drivers that are behind you.

Thats my only big gripe about Saints Row. You can't shoot behind you and drive fast at the same time.

If the graphics turn out to look as bad as the pic the TC posted. Then expect this...

1.Cows will blame lemmings and say..."thanx to DVD9, the game is smaller and has graphics that look like this".

2. Cows will blame Rockstar and say..."thanx to Rockstar making this game simultaneously for the 360, less time was spent to polish the game graphics"

However, when has Rockstar ever had good graphical games? Table Tennis? Well, whoopity-freaking doo! A game with 2 whole people on screen at once looks good! Who would've thought this! :|

It looked good, but the framerate and frame tearing at times was terrible. GTAIV will have more people, more things going on at once, etc. It might just look as bad as the pic the TC posted. In fact, I expect it to look this bad.

Also, thanks to the episodic content deal exclusively for the 360, do you really think Rockstar is going to bust their butts making the game look "better", when more content is coming anyway? They know the game will sell well no matter what.

no, this game has had a significant upgrade since the first screensw we have seen, according to several sites.

Yup, I knew this was going to happen. I agree, the graphics aren't great and they should be better then Saints Row, but nope.

Ah well, I'll still get it. I just knew Rockstar couldn't pull off the original trailer.
