Sorry if I don't make sense when I say this, I don't know how to word it properly. Would it be difficult to implement a "new post made" feature into the forums? For example, if you're making a post, and before you submit, someone else makes a new post before you, it would let you know that one has been made and let you revise your post if you wish? I don't know if it would be easy to do, but it would really help alot of different topics avoid confusion, especially the "rate the user above you" types.
I do feel horror games have declined a lot. The only games with horror elements that I've enjoyed so far are Condemned: Criminal Origins and FEAR. I haven't played Dead Space yet, I read good things about it. I found RE5 to be a good game but there are no scary moments at all on that game.
Why has the horror Genre has a whole (Movies,Games) decreased... I'd say because the storylines are all about the same, or maybe it's because no one really wants to show or depict really disturbing things. Dead Space was a good experience but no I wasn't scared once. A perfectly example is the orginal exorcist. I'm not a religous person but the scene with the crucifix in that movie...well something about that was just wrong. I think that if hollywood and the gaming community want to ressurect the Horror Genre they need to stop with all the over the top gore and start thinking of ways to bore into peoples minds, How silent hill 2 did.
I do think it's declining. I bought Dead Space hoping to be very scared, but it was more of an action game. I could even play this game alone at night. Condemend seems like a decent horror game, but the fast enemies kind of make it less 'horror' to me. I prefer slower enemies like in Silent Hill or Fatal Frame.

Definitely. The last horror game I finished was Dead Space, and while a very solid title it generally wasn't scary due to how predictable the story was.
