Is it me or is Uncharted 2 the most overrated game of all time?

Alright, so recently I got a PS3. Decided since Uncharted 2 has gotten so much praise for its polish I'd buy it first. Bought it, played through the campaign thought it was really great.Then went to MP, played it for an hour and took back the game.It was horrendusly bad compared to games I won't mention. Basically I just wasted 60$ of a couple hours of game play. Then when I got a chance to play Uncharted 3 beta is was even worse. Am I missing some thing here?

I don't know what I can say because I loved Uncharted 2.

Well the campaign was decent but the MP wasn't any thing to marvel over. It was basically a rent, play for a couple hours and return. That's defiently not deserving of game of the year at all.

I heard the first one was awful compared to two. Especially since it got an 8.0 compared to Uncharted 2s 9.5. And it didn't even include multi-player!

We have a winner.

Overrated slightly, but not of all time. The ending was a bit meh and the overall depth of gameplay was rather lacking but it holds up overall as a fairly good title.

MP isn't required for a game to be successful and the core gameplay is very much the same. 2 did greatly improve on 1 gameplay wise and technical prowess but they're for the most part, very similar.

Well if I'm going to buy a game now it should include the entire package, and if it does it should at least be decent. That's why I hated Gears 2 so much compared to one. Perhaps Uncharteed 1 was better, but I'm not going to waste my time.

First off: you got totally ripped off buying it for $60, I'm pretty sure it's a greatest hit.

Second: I didn't buy the game for the multiplayer, but I enjoyed it. More like an added bonus. Certainly some games do it better, but to call a game the most overrated of all time based on half of the experience is kind of silly. :P

That's your call on MP, so ok. I wasn't saying UC1 was better than UC2 (I don't believe it is) but if you believe UC1 is supposed to be awful, then by the same standards UC2 would be as well. There are enough differences to seperate them distinctly but if you disliked UC2's SP chances are you wouldn't like UC1 as well.

I agree. The SP was above average, but I have so much disdane for the MP. I mean I'm exagerating when I say most overrated game of all time but it certainly wasn't GOTY matieral. I haven't really played a game as good as GOW (God of war) or Uncharted on PS3 so maybe there used to not having a great MP experience. But both once more contained either no MP or average MP.

Whoever calls a game overrated needs to get slapped in the double chin.

Making threads soley about a game that has recieved massive amounts of praises, and critical awards from most if not all gaming sites, claiming that iut's "overrated" totally makes it look like you're venting for attention, especially if it's a highy popular game.

You've gotta remember different people have different opinions.Unfortunately many highly reviewed games such as Uncharted 2 or Ocarnia of Time have so much hype about them that you start thinkinglike the hypersbefore you play the game. Many people love Uncharted 2 so I can understand you'd pick it up first, next time I guess you just gotta be more careful.

Personally, I don't think it's the most overrated game of all time, but I still don't like it as the next guy. I think Majora's Mask is the most overrated game of all time.

He's right you know. It improved upon the previous 3D Mario games in many many ways.

Not even close eveything it gets is deserved. Uncharted 1 & 2 are the best games i played this gen. By far the most overrated game is Halo.

Let me get this straight. You played the single player and thought it was great. The reason Uncharted 2 is praised is for its great single player. Then you gave the multiplayer a half assed attempt and considered the game as a whole the most over rated game of all time. But you actually liked the thing in which Uncharted gets all its praise.
