I was just wondering if it makes a dramatic difference with an HD-TV (graphics.)

And what console would be the best for HD graphics? Thanks.

EDIT: This is not a place to argue about consoles being better than pc or vice versa... Its about HD TV, nothing more so keep arguements out of the topic.

It's a pretty dramatic jump, but it's also a pretty dramatic price...and at the end of the day, your still playing the same game.

Both the 360 and PS3 are the way to go for HD. PC too.

But truthfully, beyond making it look somewhat better, its the same game or so. I will enjoy it on any screen, I just thought "Hey why not.."

Exactly. Higher resolutions are good, but way overrated and most all HDTVs are overpriced, have a serious flaw, or both. I think it will be maybe another couple of years before its worth it.

It makes a gigantic difference.... no point in getting a PS3/360 without one. PS3 is the most full featured HD system with HDMI, built in Blu-ray HD movie player, DVD upscaling, and major 1080p native games. But it does just come down to game preference.

20inch doesn't even support 1080p resolution.

People seriously underplay HD, it seriously made me wonder how I kept playing on SD, it really was a dramatic change for me seeing the great quality of HD.

Here's your solution to both monitor and TV problems for HDness.

It makes a difference but there is no reason to hold off on 360 or ps3 becuase you still have SD. The graphics, physics, etc. are all the same, the difference is in how true to life they look. Colors are brighter, textures are crisper, etc.

Pretty lame that this thread already included the obligatory "PC had blah blah". Awesome, we didn't know since we don't own pc's....

I think it's really neccessary to take advantage of what a product has to offer; and you'd be surprised how much of an improvement HD makes.

This makes me sigh. You've been able to play games in HD on your PC since forever, even if they were older titles. To say that now just sounds dumb. You're pretty much admitting console games have always looked bad comapred to PC games for the last 10 years or so.

Since when do HD-TV's have serious flaws? Its not like a car, they turn on, turn off, no mechanical problems.

It isn't a matter of opinion. HD actually has far more pixels and far higher quality source signals. The only explanation for this would be that you haven't watched a good hdtv run a good hd source...or that your vision is impaired.

Yeah we know you've been able to play HD on PC for years, we've got the point, you can stop trying to brag about it. I could care less for PC gaming at the moment, all I want now is Star Craft II, andI didn't say they look terrible, I just said there is a real dramatic change in quality between the two.

the former then, considering 2 others besides myself didn't notice a huge difference

Personally, I don't care. I do however like the new specs, but the TV isn't that important, basically, Conviction is going to be awesome on my 480i TV.
