The Xbox franchise as we know it will never compete in Japan. It has always been geared towards the western market and until MS acquires a major Japanese franchise (either through purchasing a developer or an exclusivity agreement) the Xbox franchise will be a non-factor in Japan. However thats not to say its dead. With a growing number of JRPGs and other games geared towards the Japanese market, the 360 will be able to sell in Japan, especially once the price is dropped significantly. PBSnipes

Yeah the 360 was still born in japan, in order to be dead you have to be alive at one point. However the TC shouldn't throw stones from his glass house becuse the PS3 is not doing all that much better. The japanese are having a WII & DS craze.

Yeah, I don't know if the Sony fanboys know this, but the Gamecube at its peak used to average 65K in Japan around this time of year.

The PS3 is only averaging 50K.

Eh? I can't make head or tails of what you're actually trying to say there.NTSC games? NTSC is just a TV and broadcast spec. i.e. NTSC and PAL. Japan is NTSC as well you know.

It's not like the PS3 has Japan on lock either.

Japan is a one-console country, and that "one console" isn't the PS3, it's the Wii. Both PS3 and 360 are destined to fail.
