Halo 3, Gears of War 2 and Grand Theft Auto IV are games of high quality. I don't really grasp the meaning of this topic. 

I believe so, it did it to Assassin's Creed to me. I was so hyped for that game, and it turned out to be a borefest for me.SOedipus

I did'nt play the two first halo's but I decided to give the third a whirl since it was supposed to be godly. All I found was an average shooter that I did'nt bother completing. I might have been more forgiving if I had'nt expected an fps revolution.

Hype killed Halo 3 for me.
