is it worth getting a ps3?

OK,

i want a ps3, you don't need to convince me of it's power, or graphics, or games, because i know of those. what i want to know is: is it reliable? i have had my ps2 and ps1 for very long and they never broke. thing is, i had a 360, wasted money, i wasted almost 1000$ on it in the past year (including buying it) and it broke,sold everything back for 300$. i am not going to waste money on another failure. so please answer truthfully, not like fanboys. is the system reliable? what;s the failure rate? please (if you can) back it up with article links. thanks

my ps3 has never broken down on me. but then again neither has my 360 from the launch and i play that much more. i haven't played the ps3 in months.

i think the general consensus is that the ps3 is more reliable than the 360 but the 360 has sorted out its reliability in recent months

imeant on console, accessories, and games. i think 1000$ is alittle exagerated, but it was well over 600$, FACT

wow agree you are dead wrong and everybody knows it, yes you should get a ps3 more reliable plus it has almost all multiplats and free online. Even IMO has some of the best exclusives.

pc is way better than any of the consoles just buy it.

You can get a good graphics card for half of its price and run any game you want

PS3 is WWWAAAAAYYYYY more reliable then the 360 who had a 33% FAILURE rate (monthly) in whole while I've heard only 1 or 2 PS3's breaking and I think it was Sony who said they only had 1% failure rate (this is in a year NOT a month)
