Gameplay starts @ 3:58.

Just look at the graphics! It looks absolutely stunning.

Wonder if PS4 version manages to keep up with the PC version, but whereas KC:D is developed primarily for PC, I expect that the console version will have to be toned down a little.

No. I don't think there will ever be another Crysis.

It most certainly does not. Witcher 3 has an excellent graphics, but this is way more natural and the and detailed.

Wait for release before you jump to conclusions about how it looks. It'll need toning back for not only consoles but for lower end PC's as well.

Crysis was not possible on Consoles. The game was rewritten for Consoles and played differently. 75% of the foliage was removed which affected gameplay (especially Stealth gameplay), a level was removed that ruined the pace of the game, gameplay mechanics were copied from Crysis 2, which means no more maximum strength while punching enemies in the face, as far as I know, Destructible environments were replaced with static objects (which again affected the fast paced nature of the gameplay) and so on.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is made for PCs primarily but it isn't pushed too far, so that it can work on Consoles as it does on PC, or may be that's how things were supposed to be, Consoles or not. So, while the game will be superior on PC, the difference won't be night and day. Squadron 42 is a different story though. It is INDEED Crysis of this gen.

On the other hand today's consoles are much closer in architecture to PC than "hdtwins" were, so its hard to imagine that something that was possible on PC is not possible on PS4 (albeit with lower settings) these days.

I don't think so. Every game looks better on PC, and often play much better. Crysis was a very different beast. It had gameplay ideas that could only be realized through the PC.

It looks pretty good. Seems way too washed out for me. I feel like real life has a much higher contrast between light and dark and way more vibrance in the colors.

Squardon 42 should be the next Crysis-level benchmark for PC gamers.

To be completely honest it doesn't look that great, sure the environments look expansive but the overall appearance of the game is lacking in several ways.

Decent looking game yes, Crysis of 2016? Not under any tangible metric that I can see.

This is a prime example of a game pushing decent amount of tech such as real time GI, dense foliage but coated with butt ugly art direction. Visually TW3 shits on it.

Also there's no Crysis of this gen yet, remember C1 requires a gpu 3-4 years down the road to run it at max at a decent res. Maybe Cyber Punk could be the one.

It is not just about architecture but also raw power.

The colors/contrast seem.... off, and some of those combat animations are a little strange. Otherwise it looks pretty good

I'd say Squadron 42 is still one of the more impressive things around these days though

If it is PC first as you say; I bet they are using DX12, so I would give the edge to Xbox One, since its easier for the developers.

Yeah of course it was rewritten for the consoles, it didn't use the same enigne. Crysis on the pc used cryengine 1, crysis on the consoles used cryengine 2, the engine they made to make crysis 2.

Also, I think you underestimate kingdom come deliverance, it might not be the crysis of this gen, but the game will not nearly look as good on consoles as in the video. Detailed draw distance like this will fry the xboxone and ps4.

Woops, yes lostrib is right, my bad.

That's a good thing though, then we might actually be able to play what we're seeing here.

I think you might be right. Time well tell... Just a little correction though,,, Crysis on PC used Cry Engine 2. Crysis on Consoles used Cry Engine 3. Cry Engine 1 was used to make Far Cry 1.

You clearly haven't seen the mark hamill trailer. There was a older one that showed some a glimpse of very early models but don't act as if they aren't making any improvements.

Ofcourse, it is worth noting that most Star Citizen fans are cultists .... these "models/Animations" are all pre-rendered bull-vids ..... the character model in engine will be jaggy, and stand out considerably less.... but ofcourse I'm sure some armchair defenders will rush in and say "its all in engine assets so it counts!" ...

Can't wait for the ships to actually fly like those "in-game engine commercials" ... hahahaha.... nah, twitchy all-direction super acceleration bumper cars is "realistic".
