Hardly. Can you use it with a controller? Yes. Can you unplug Kinect and use the box? Yes. Kinect therefore not necessary. I don't care how much they go on about how nice it is to use voice, I will never say 'xbox change channel' in the middle of my living room.

You still don't know if the interface will be a pain in the ass without Kinect. Could be as bad as using Windows 8 without a touch screen.

With all of their changes they have made I wouldn't mind picking up a X1 if they got rid of kinect, got both a PS3 and a 360 but as it stands today only getting a PS4 unless microsoft make changes then I will consider picking up a X1 6 months after.

Nope, but expect price parity with PS4 next year. MS are in a better position to reduce manufacturing costs of the XB1 than PS4 which is now hobbled with the more expensive GDDR5 memory
Mangy, all the interest seems to be with Xbox One, all day every day and not much interest in PS4 :shock: The One is gonna sell like hot cakes on a cold day. :cool:
