Is Metroid Prime a FPS?

Seeing as how many people are saying Metroid Prime is a FPS in another thread,here's a poll.

Do you think Metroid Prime is a FPS?

To me,no.It may have shooting,but it's main goal isn't shooting itself.Exploring,puzzle solving,scanning,and platforming are what Metroid Prime is about.It's a first person adventure.

Also,do you find it annoying when people say Metroid Prime is a FPS?I do.........

EDIT: By the way,Metroid Prime got a 9.7 and Game of the Year.Don't deny the fact that is a great game,even if it isn't a FPS.
