Is MGS 4 remastered inevitable? PS4 only?

I really want this game to come to next gen consoles. MGS 4 was the only reason to keep my ps3, but eventually I got rid of it anyway. Konami already milked the MGS HD collection - shouldn't they bring MGS 4 already? And do you think it will be a PS4 exclusive? I ask you SW, since these are very pressing matters.

I'd love to see it, just to see if cows are still playing this farce out to the end.

I doubt it. I'm not saying it's completely out of the picture, but we've seen nothing to even hint at it. TPP seems to be in full swing, and rightfully so.

I imagine that Konami would be interested because it'd be a 60fps release of MGS4, though seeing that Sony payed for exclusivity with enough money for Kojima to build a Metal Gear...

Xbone couldn't handle MGS 4, much less a remaster.

If it did happen, it'd be multiplat for sure.

That said, I wouldn't want a remaster, but a remake. Actually I'd want a completely different game with a completely different story that occurs in the same place in the timeline. Just write MGS4 out of history and replace it with something better.

Got a feeling we'll be getting plenty of MGS and those two will be in there, with Kojima leaving and Konami stating there will be more.

Obviously one day MGS4 will come out on other platforms, but honestly it probably won't be any time soon. The time to release a MGS4 remaster would've been before releasing MGS5, not after. MGS4 will more likely show up eventually in some sort of collection with all the other games - yet again - but not for a long time.

Hi, I loved MGS4. It's one of my favorate video games and is one of the most epic titles ever. I'd loved to see that game remastered. Sadly, I will never own a Playstation 4 system. Not for a long time.

I loved the cutscenes. But there were too many. I'd like to see it remastered with only 3 hours of cutscenes and the rest of snakes actions are done by the characters in game.

It's very sad to me that other people dislike it so. But there are worse games.

I don't want it. Played the game in 2009, do i want to play what i've beaten and fund just 'okay' title? No thanks. MGS3 was much better and i don't even want to play that in 1080p.

No, thank the PS3 hardware. They can't be bothered to recode the whole thing. Otherwise it would have gone multiplat with all the other MGS games.

If it happened. I guarantee you it would at least come out on Xbox One along with PS4. It would probably come out on pc too seeing as how Rising and Ground Zeroes came to pc and the Phantom Pain is too.

I know you're just being sarcastic, but before this becomes a point of debate in the topic..

MGS4 didn't even need Blu Ray. Kojima was so excited to have the extra disc space that he filled it with heavy sound files by going minimal on the compression.
