so let me get this straight: great, completed games should just sit on the shelf for the sake of TIMING? I say, if the developer feels like the game is polished and finished, PUT IT OUT!!! The sooner, the better.
Not at all they still have plenty of big ones for next year such as Ninja Gaiden 2, Banjo, Conviction, Fable 2, APB, Huxley, Alan Wake, Too Humanand others (aswell as some pretty cool arcade games).
From a business perspective getting money now is better than getting money later, so they naturally put out games as soon as they can. This was and is a strong year for 360, but lot of the credit goes to weak competition as well.
Developers didnt just stop making games for the X360. If anything, they are encouraged by the attach rate and will be making MORE games that previous years.

They'll be plenty of 360 games in 2008, and we'll hear about them in 2008... unlike other console companies MS actually had some games coming out in 2007 to concentrate on rather than making people wait until "Early 2008" for something to play.
