Japan as a whole is now becoming irrelevant in the gaming world especially when it comes to market and software. With Capcom and SE's recent subpar performance in game development, do you think nintendo is the only company that's left of Japan that can garner any relevance in the whole world? With Last Guardian out of the picture, it doesn't bode that well. Most of Sony's great games aren't made by the Japanese and its hardware is dwindling from microsoft and nintendo's grasp.
