Sorry, aside from teh graphics crysis didnt have any gameplay that was so unique it couldnt have been done with anything else.

Oh, and the graphics difference may be there, but by no means is it huge, unless higher res textures and some more resolution constitute huge.

i would say more than a generation, i doubt the next consoles would have something as powerful as an ATI 5870 or GTX 480

This is definitely yes. Even though the games in PS3 and Xbox 360 has more exclusive and advantage, PC gaming has started since the first gaming console and will lasts forever.

Hardware wise, yes. Game wise - depends from genre. For example PC strategies are far superior to console strategies but for some genres the PC is a joke.

And I still think the fun factor on consoles is bigger than the PC (which is just for WoW and C-S nerds and tech demo graphics ho's :lol: ).

Joke aside - yes, I do think PC games are generally more complex than console games and that PC hardware offers bigger posibilites. But I also believe that you do not need infinite resources to create impressive games. The best devs, to me, are those who manage to get the most out of lesser hardware. Sure, games that push the bounds of the best possible hardware are impressive too. But I prefer those which push outdated hardware to the limits. Furthermore, like stated before, you don't need complex game environments to make a fun game. And it is also debatable how much more evolved PC games actually are. If we look at hardcore sims, the PC sims are far more advanced. But that does not necesarily make them more fun. Same with RPGs or any other PC genre for that matter. What makes a game fun is a subjective matter.

So I take it BC2s xbox community is all men all the time. Not only men but serious manly men with beards and glasses. No nonesense and stuff.

About 2 generations ahead, i would say. The PC is a constantly evolving platform with no boundary, its only logical to have surpassed the static and long outdated hardware of a console.

But i don't care really, i like playing the SNES, NES and the PS1 far more then any current generation consoles..

Better games and a gigantic library on them.

The X-ray engine uses GSC Game World's proprietary ALife artificial intelligence engine. ALife supports more than one thousand characters inhabiting the Zone. These characters are non-scripted, meaning that AI life can be developed even when not in contact with the player.

The NPCs have a full life cycle (task accomplishment, combat, rest, feeding and sleep) and the same applies to the many monsters living in the Zone (hunting, attacking stalkers and other monsters, resting, eating, sleeping). These monsters migrate in large groups. The non-scripted nature of the characters means that there are an unlimited number of random quests. For instance, rescuing stalkers from danger, destroying stalker renegades, protecting or attacking stalker camps or searching for treasure. The AI characters travel around the entire zone as they see fit.

Numerous tactics can be employed to complete the game, such as rushing or using stealth and sniping. The NPCs will react in a different way to each of them. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s NPCs plan ahead by "Goal-Oriented Action Planning" to achieve this.

Stalker has too much going on streamlined at once to be done on consoles and mods look great on it, I owned the original as well.
