@blueinheaven: Random pics. LOL. I took those myself. Feel free to check my profile and see the rest.

Do you even read what I post? I bought the consoles for the exclusives. I am interested in the games and not the consoles. The consoles are garbage because they can't run the games properly like PC can. Playing Uncharted 4 at 30fps will be a challenge no doubt.

And there's nothing wrong with that, but most people who buy consoles are not under this cross console/gaming PC veil that the overwhelming minority of us are, to that vast majority who buy consoles, these games being on PC as well means **** all to them, they're still Xbox games to them.

Also, even if every single game on Xbox One came to PC, I would still want to own my Xbox One. I play games with my friends on it, my girlfriend uses it, it's useful for media stuff on my TV, also I just enjoy certain games on a console more than on PC and vice versa, they offer a different play experience.

This whole thing is being blown so dramatically out of proportion, it's asinine the way certain people are reacting... Every cow on this shitty website are now acting like they're fucking PC gamers and trying to exaggerate the effects this has...

Lots of exclusives coming up on PS4 and in fact 'exactly' the kind of exclusives anyone would expect from a Sony console and you think it's all garbage but you still bought one righto and now the Xbox One offers you literally nothing you can't get on PC and you're fine with that lol. I'm having a very hard time believing you own both of these consoles particularly in light of the fact you have claimed in the past to suffer from a multitude of horrific medical conditions when playing a game that does not run in 60fps.

Subtlety be damned, you own a PS4 and Xbox One in the same way I own 5 private jets and have three heads. I am now wondering if you actually have a PC lol.

In BassMan defense, the only way to play games like Bloodborne is the fact that you need to buy a PS4 to do so since it's not coming to PC, that's the excuse to own a PS4 in the process, same goes for games like Second Son and the upcoming Horizon. Xbox One however, not so much unless your a die hard Halo fan that is.

That's nice. Did you find that on the internet? You hate PS4 and Sony exclusives so never would have bought one unless you're just incredibly stupid, and you are totally fine with Xbox One which plays really shitty versions of games that are much better on PC and play in 60fps so you don't contract cancer or something so you can see why any reasonable individual would completely disbelieve literally anything you have to say despite you posting random pics you found on the net, no?

I am surprised you're not saying this to me also.

If you only were this optimistic about anything PS4.

What you want is irrelevant what the market could want is what matter, many people do buy console because of its exclusives games, you like Uncharted yeah get a PS,you like Halo get an xbox it has being this way since the console market started basically.

And after years of hearing lemmings say there is no reason to get a PS get an xbox it has halo, trying to pretend now that is not important is a joke.

I am optimistic about the PlayStation 4 and its upcoming games, you cows just seem to ignore any time I post about it in a positive light, like it never happens or something.

Do you think Xbox people are just going to up and buy PC's now? Dude, these are console gamers, they want a console experience, the PC is not just a different platform, it's not like hopping onto another console... These people would have been involved with it long ago if that were truly where their interest lie, but it's not...

The PC/console gamer crossover is small, it's likely a 15th percentile figure, the other people that fall into the console only demographic are not just going to suddenly become PC gamers... They buy consoles because they are mostly casual people, they are easy, they are accessible, they are cheap and they provide a near enough PC experience that most people don't give a shit beyond that...

I've been clamoring about wanting Halo on PC for years, I actually played the first two games competitively on PC, actual competition in leagues... When I found out that Halo 2 was the last one to be on PC I was pissed off to all hell.. So I don't know what in the **** you're talking about...

@nyadc: I get that but it's not the message MS was originally giving....I get there will be people that will still only game on consoles but they are losing people like me.....someone who bought the OG Xbox, 2 X360's and 2 Xbox One's. I will still play their games but instead of buying their console I will spend that money on PC hardware.

Things change man, you have to look at this from a business standpoint, they're behind and restructuring their business model as a result going forward, and it's a smart way to go about it, they open themselves up to a much larger market. You can still sell your Xbox One and put the remaining money into PC hardware, games or whatever, you bought that console and you can sell it, it's not attached to your hip.

I'm not saying you are, but people sitting around here moping and bitching isn't doing anything, if you're a gaming PC owner and this bothers you that much, sell the Xbox and get the games on PC, it's that simple, if not, you have just as much reason to own an Xbox One as you ever did.

As much as you have your head permanently stuck up Microsoft's ass you're at least not claiming consoles are complete garbage (having bought them) and games are unplayable in anything less than 60fps (as though the entire videogame industry before recent times was full of games that were completely unplayable).

It's such a bizarre viewpoint even for this place.

I don't see shutting down redundant Studios as a bad thing. MS should probably shut Rare down too until they can put some real talent in there.

Others could probably do the same. Team Ico specifically comes to mind. Could you imagine how much money Sony has invested in them since their last game?

On topic, I don't know what MSs plans are for future consoles, but when a console doesn't work out well, they seem to want to be quick to move on, they don't seem to want to weather the storm. It's not good for them or the fans.

DX12 allows for easy porting, so maybe MS is using the PC to compensate with revenue, while sales suffer with the Xbox One. As a PC gamer, I benefit, but MS don't seem to be putting their Xbox fans first. But I can understand it. FM 6 deserved sales, it is a seriously complete and polished game. So I can understand that MS wants future FM games on the PC. Not complaining though, FM 7 on the PC will be amazing.

Oh they will go the smart way they will move their games to PC and leave the xbox brand to die,you may ignore it bu MS was sunk into a price war as early as 2 months into the race,it has being since then, selling an xbox one with titan fall and Kinect for $449 was a hit to their pockets so was selling it for $349 with 2 free games from a 3rd party.

Then its games are flopping sales wise left and right so they are not making that loss on software, and that is the reason why the games are ending on PC i think MS will do what it does best sell software and forget about the hardware business moving its games to windows store is the first move, the xbox one is not what the xbox use to stand for and i think Phil was put in charge to ease the transition into PC rather than save the brand that probably already have a grimm ripper standing next to it.

I think you're being a bit dramatic, also if they abandon the console market they abandon their entire Xbox revenue stream, that's stupid and that's not going to happen. Like I've said before those people are not going to shift to PC, why would you even think that? They would shift to Sony or Nintendo, other console platforms. What you're talking about is a transition that would take well over a decade to accomplish, if that's what they even wanted to do, which I doubt entirely.

They would need a library of hundreds to thousands of games on Windows 10 to make this happen, they would need a community there, that which there is not. If they eventually wanted to merge Xbox into Windows 10 and only PC gaming, it's going to be a very, very, very long way off dude...

You're out of your element as always...

Well. I don't think current XB1 owners or most will not shift to PC, but future buyers might look into just upgrade the PC to play the games rather than buy a XB1 instead since 99% of its games will end up in PC anyway, thats include myself because I do not need XB1 for games like Recore. So does it hurt MS hardware business in future? I think so.

Good for MS. Making your existing customers unnecessarily pay for more hardware to play exclusives is going against the grain. Thats 6-8 games PC owners can be purchasing instead.

The belief that this new direction is going to hurt MS or the Xbox brand is shortsighted. 5 years from now the console market will reflect the permanent shift in platform exclusivity.

Because PS3 with Cell (which was a nightmare to program with) is completely different from PS4 and that is one of the reason why you haven't seen a work able PS3 emulator for PC. Where as 360, XB1 are both very PC like to begin and that is why they were easy to develop and port.. (If I'm not wrong here!)

Better question: is Spencer being over ruled by the higher ups he must answer to at MS? We'll never truly know.

@draign: Yeah! That is why they made PS4 more PC like, but unless they have the cell chip processor inside the PS4 other wise I don't see how they can do BC with emulator.

It's not bizarre if the focus is on the quality of experience. I have standards man. I like to play all my games at 60fps or higher. However, the first party studios do make some compelling games that I am interested in. To get access to those games, I have to buy the consoles. So, I am not happy that I have to waste money on redundant consoles when I already have a good PC. Also, it pisses me off when I can't even get a proper 60fps experience and I have no other option. So, when MS announces that they are releasing their first party games on PC, of course I am going to be happy. The XB1 is not meeting my standards. Neither is the PS4. Unfortunately, I got no PC option when it comes to Sony titles. :(

MS wins either way.

If you play their exclusives on XB1, they get money, AND it takes market share away from Sony.

If you play their exclusives on PC, they get money, AND it takes market share away from Steam.

MS has Steam in a headlock while kicking Sony in the ass.

Don't be confused just because they don't do business in a typical and very predictable way, they're playing to win.

Microsoft doesn't have a track record of abandoning anything. They didn't abandon IE, they didn't abandon Bing, they didn't abandon Windows Phone, they just kept developing it until it started eating the other company's lunch.

Think 2 console generations from now, when everything on Xbox is available BC, their library will continue to expand to a monstrous proportion, while taking Steam market share to the Windows Store.

The whole DX12 crap is a joke porting a game from PC to xbox and the other way around was never hard to begin with, both platforms use DX and windows it could not be any more easier.

It's not a DX12 thing, developers are implying it's something unique to low level APIs. From DX12, Metal, Mantle, Vulkan, whatever Sony uses etc. It's not about them sharing the same DX name. Porting game from the PCs DX11 to Xbox Ones DX11 is harder than porting between any of the above low level APIs.

Developers have said it doesn't take long for them to move things over to DX12 (or other low level APIs).

Where is Vita? Where is Move? Where is PS Home? Where is PS2 and PS3? Why no BC? All of those purchases wasted, money down the toilet.

Well, MS almost killed Sony off last gen, but Sony still has a little bit of ass left. The PS4 is a solid machine but Sony still has fundamental problems, it has no real direction and no future. 6-8 exclusives don't make a PS4 worth owning, but having a library shared between the Windows Store and XB1 strengthens the whole MS ecosystem.

You'll see, as will others, in time.

WTF does backward compatibility on PS4 has to do with porting games between XBox and PC.? The PS3 didn't use windows.

And in fact sony can't have backward compatibility on PS4 because the PS4 CPU can't emulate Cell that Jaguar is not up to the task.

That is a joke coming from you not one of you can sweep this under the rug so easy, after generations of hyping exclusives.

Over rule.? Maybe you are confuse and you actually believe that at some point he was really in charge,he admit being part of the other xbox visions as well,i don't think Don was guilty either this is a decision that comes from the top,i just say that on my thread because lemmings actually believe he is saving the brand from chaos.

I feel February 2016 NPD #s will tell the ultimate direction of the Xbox division.

Last January, the Xbox ONE faced a YoY sales decline. If sales are down immensely from last February, I feel MS will just give up on the console wars and slowly intertwine Xbox with the PC.

There's no point debating who came up with what and who came up with this-and-that. What matters is what's happening in the present.

Tomorrow's NPD numbers will tell the ultimate story of the Xbox's future. If the Xbox's sales are disastrous, then it is a win for the gamers.

I think a lot of the praise Phil got for those early changes when he first took over...weren't actually his calls.

Like getting rid of Kinect. Those types of decisions and making new skus and packaging and figuring costs vs yay or nay.....stuff like that was being discussed among the suits before he got there.

Has he been going in the right direction?

Depends on who you ask. PC gamers are enjoying not having to buy an X1 since most of their former exclusives are going to PC. I'm sure lemmings would like to have more actual exclusives, not thst they don't want others to play their games but whatever helps the console of your choice.

I personally think the need to start doing more PC exclusives like they used to do: New Age of Empires or Mechwarrior would be great.

Doubt it. Xbox product resale values are bottom of the barrel low. You must be hurting by the pennies to be consider selling your Xbox stuff.

LOL titonto thread

Microsoft's Unity plan has been coming before Xbox One was released. Combining the Xbox one and Windows 10 platform is good for gamers all round. Funny how your the only one creating threads moaning about it when it has no baring on your gaming.

Bottomline, MS moving Xbox games to the PC is a money making move, anyone with any sense of business savy and not a fanboy can see this. Their games releasing only on the Xbox isn't making enough money and they are in the business of making money so putting them on the PC is smart, look how much more TR sold when released on the PC. Are they moving away from the Xbox, or course not cause now they are just relying on the PC making to make up their revenue and that's not going to happen either. It's smart business to open up their ecosystem cause up until now really they only focused on one which was the Xbox. They dipped their toe in the PC/Xbox ecosystem before with the early 360 but so much people was buying them that they didn't have to focus too much on the PC and now they do. People that buy and play PC games are different audience than people that buy just an xbox or just a PS cause some people just prefer the closed gaming console that they just plug in a play rather than a PC when you have to upgrade the hardware to get game to play and look it's best. Really it's a good thing for MS and gamers cause with more people buying the games, more people are playing them, especially multiplayer games if they are cross play, MS and game developers make more money which means in the long run more games are funded and made so it's a win/win all around, period.

TC you can stop the butthurt now. Phil is doing a great job.

The only people caring about the exclusives only on one system are people like you on these forums.
