Is Portal 2 anyone's GotY so far?

With all the big games coming out this year and even more to come, Portal 2 seems to have been pushed to the side, but it did come out in 2011. Does anyone think it has a chance or should even be eligible for a Game of the Year?

It's definitely mine. And nothing else coming out this year looks any better.

Arkham City has it beat for me and Uncharted 3 may beat it out also.

For me, it's very close between Portal 2 and Batman: Arkham City.

It was, until UC3 came out. But if Portal 2 does win, it'll be no surprise. It's an awesome game.

No, I loved it but it doesnt have enough to be GOTY

right now its tied between portal 2 and dead space 2 for me. Im just about at the end of Arkham City and can pretty much say i would rate that lower than portal 2 and dead space 2 personally. I have Uncharted 3 waiting after im done with arkham though.

Its still mine. Everyone is saying Arkham City and Uncharted 3 because they just came out. If release dates were reversed, Portal 2 would be getting a lot more love right now.-ArchAngeL-777-

I wanted to get it on PS3 because it comes with a copy of the PC game, doesn't it?

Uncharted 3 was a big disappointment this year and I don't get what is so special about Portal 2 either. The predecessor established everything, its a puzzle game, you shoot portals in the floor, and Glados is hilarious. It was a fun game, but it was way to short and I would be much more impressed if the puzzles had more than one solution, the loading screens weren't 50% of the experience, and the big open areas for puzzles weren't about looking for a white wall. Overall, I was not impressed.

So I think it would be a crime to give GOTY to either of these games. Arkham City deserves it the most, that game is phenominal and it did to its predesessor what Uncharted 3 should have done to Uncharted 2. It took what was considered a (nearly) flawless game and made a follow up that is better in every way. I won't care if Skyrim or Dark Souls get it, but Arkham City is unquestionably the best game of 2011. I would hate to see Uncharted 3 or Portal 2 get it (or Gears 3). More of the same.

No. That distinction still belongs to Deus Ex: HR for me. But it's my third most favorite game this year, though. Brilliant writing.

So far it's my GOTY only because I don't have Zelda Skyward Sword yet.

In a word, nope. In several, it might have been at one point, but other games have surpassed it. I enjoyed Gears 3 (4 player co-op campaign? Get outta here :P), and I've beaten Arkham City twice and I'm still playing it. A contender? Maybe, but not my choice.

It's my favorite Portal game this year, but I enjoyed Portal 1 much more.

Gears of War 3 took it's seat from me.

I like it, but haven't been able to play it enough yet to conclude that it would be my GOTY. For me personally that would be Bit.Trip Runner in either Bit.Trip Saga or Bit.Trip Complete. Love that game for some reason.

Fantastic game as it is, I think Gears might get that instead

I didn't even really enjoy it... in fact I rented it and sent it back before I completed it. Got sick of all the Cave Johnson bits.

It is for me at the moment, but Skyward Sword has a good change too.

was fun but the main bugbear for me was that it was 2 short, not really that replayable and in general was a good game but twas a bit expensive to be a full blown £40 title for what you got in my honest opinion glad i waited 2 weeks and got it for £20.

Arkham City has it beat for me and Uncharted 3 may beat it out also.
