Is PS3 vs 360 driving anyone else crazy?!

More than half the threads in System Wars is comparing the PS3 to the 360. And all of them are repititive! So I just want to summarize both the good and bads of the consoles:

Both of the consoles both have their good and bads.

The PS3 is climbing up the ladder of success. Price drop = more people are buying it. Uncharted just boosted PS3 up hell of a lot. PSN is free, and still gives you the essentials of online gaming services. It also has a built in Blu-ray player (I know I know, lots of people say we shouldn't even mention the blu-ray player... but lots of people...including me...use the Ps3 as a blu-ray player as well as a gaming console). The exclusives for the Ps3 aren't bad either (with the exception of Lair and Genji, which were complete failures). AND I have to admit; in 2008, IMO the Ps3 has the best line-up of games than all the other consoles! The Ps3 isn't doing as well as the 360 right now because its real exclusives aren't coming till 2008. Lastly, the Ps3 hardware is pretty solid, it'll take a while to break that system.

The only complaint people have on the Ps3 (IMO) is because of its lack of good exclusives so far. Judging by these threads in System Wars, the only thing people have against the Ps3 is its lack of games right now.

The 360 is already extremely successful in the US. It has great games that got above a 9.0. XBL surpasses PSN (because you need to pay). Playing online on the 360 is more fun too because there're a hell of a lot more players on (IMO). And also the 360 has better exclusives than the PS3 (with the exception of Bioshock b/c thats gunna come out for the Ps3 soon anyway). So as of now, the 360 surpasses the PS3 because of more better games (until 2008 IMO).

The complaints on the 360 is solely on the hardware. Unlike the PS3, the 360 is so much louder and it breaks pretty easily. Everyday someone posts a thread saying their 360 broke b/c of the RROD. Also, I've been seeing complaints on the 360 scratching discs (although this never happened to me before). Lastly, (unless you have a cooling system), you can't leave your 360 on for a prolongued period of time, for there is an increase in the risk of it overheating.

So here it is.. forgive me if I missed out on something on the consoles. Both of the consoles are great! If you like the Ps3 more, you have lots of patience because you know it'll just keep getting better. If you like the 360, you've got amazing games now and dont have to wait for months for the good games to come out. It'll stay at this level from now on for the 360 IMO.

Me? I love both systems. Right now I like the PS3 better because my 360 got the RROD the 2nd time (still didn't get it back). However, before the 360 broke, I used to play on it a lot more than the Ps3. In addition, most of the games on my list that I want in the upcoming future are PS3 games.

I think the real problem with the PS3 is that it hasn't lived up to it's potenial that Snoy Hyped it to be. Now, everybody hates on it besides it's attemped to make good on that claim (Killzone 2, MGS4).

I'm not sure why but it seemed that thesystem in the last place (hardwear Sales wise)fanboys seems to be the worst but they are! This was ture for Xbox and it's ture now.

The funny thing is that number shouldn't matter to anyone! Sony has the PSP and the PS2 to counter act the cost of the PS3 so I doutb that you fanboys have to worrie about Sony. Microsoft 360 is saling very well this gen (Dispite the RRoD problem) So, I don't know why everyone has a problem with another console.

Its how the 360 has the most games, best online, most exclusives, best exclusives, costs less (not including Wii, wiis good in my book)

Yet people still buy a PS3 for the brand name.

OMG!!! this thread that u created IS another comparison thread.......i own both a 360 and ps3 and they are both great consoles that really shouldnt be compaired with eachother cause they are very diffrent. ps3 has more features then u can shake a stick at and the 360 has more games then u can shake a stick at.... and the games are completly diffrent for both conoles and i love it! i love the fact i can go from bioshock to ratchet and clank to gears of war to heavenly sword. they both rule!!

it seems like the ps3 was released a year early in order to rush to compete with the 360. They should have just waited like the SNES did. If the ps3 was released today it would have been better for it in the long term imo.

for one it wouldn't be known as the console with no games even though its been out for a year

second it wouldn't be known as the extremely expensive console

third it might have had some better tech (although this would affect price admittedly)
