i find the mature PSN user base, much more glossed when it comes to gaming...i mean, any game i play on PSN, i have a HUGE challenge and i am really competitive and always want to win, however whenever i play on live at a friends house on a controller im not even used to, i breeze through everyone in every game. does anyone else notice this too?

It's somewhat true, it's basically cos every 5 year old with an Xbox gets a free headset and easy online, however PS3 needs a lil bit of work to get rollin' online, it usually weeds out the apes.
There's a professional gaming league based on games on xbox live, (Halo 3, Gears Of War, etc), and not one for PSN, so I'd assume the real hardcore people who want to make a career out of it are on xbl.
yea, I do find that in general there are more skilled players on the PSN, even when I do come across soemone who has just clearly not hit puberty yet, they don't act like whiners or brats. Having said this, both services are pretty much equally as fun, given the game

Also online you can play on GB with warhawk so there are professional gaming leagues for ps3 just not well known ones like the MLG

Doesn't matter, I'm not saying it's a good thing, but, ultra competitive people who want to make a career out of gaming are going to flock to the network inwhich they can actually achieve their goal, since PSN has no similar professional league (with tv spots on major sports networks, etc). I actually don't like ultra-serious players, I'm there to have a good time.
