hi i got both system my psp busted a long time ago and i gave my phat ds to my gf and i got a lite so now me and my gf are ds buddys. but is psp dead when i look at it there is no news no one even talks about it. whats the ds and psp line up like this year?

but only selling 100k in the opening week of monster hunter and still not outselling DS which had no big game release seems to agree with him (in perspective.. when Pokemon released it sold 1,5 million the first week and about 600k DSes were sold in that week)

That doesn't "kill" the PSP. The PSP is still very much alive and selling, in Japan and in the US and there are some pretty good releases especially in Japan that will better the situation.
21 million sold is hardly on life support. And now with more connectibility (lol is that a word?) to the ps3 and what the future holds, sales are picking up.
Hell nooo. Monster Hunter 2 Final Fantasy Crisis Core Metal Gear Solid P.O up coming God of War game. and up coming PS3 - PSP remote gaming and media streaming. I'd say PSP is hottest thing now.
The PSP is doing fine, as a matter of fact I believe PSP sales are starting to pick up again. At the very least I know sales have been steady. The PSP seems to get at least one "AA" game per month, so its definitely got the games now too.
I personally use my PSP almost everyday. Not always for games, but I'm still getting plenty of use out of it. So for me at least, the PSP is not dead. Its the center of my "digital lifeforbidden>
The PSP is more dead than Britney Spear's musical career. I mean talk about being blown out of the water. The DS obliterates most home consoles too. Those being the GC, 360, Xbox.

I dont think it has sold 21 mill but I may be wrong can someone give a link? If not then I heard it was still under 20 million. Either way DS is at a much higher number.
Definitely not dead. Will it ever beat Nintendo? Not this generation and probably not ever. The PSP has carved out a nice piece of the market from Nintendo and although it does lack a killer app that everyone has and plays (MGS: PO maybe) it has quite a few great titles. The non PS2 ports (the games that took the big franchises like GTA, MGS, Tekken etc. and made original games for the PSP) have been great.
PSP isn't dead to tell you the truth it's doing just fine. The DS is a great portable but just because the DS is selling really good doesn't mean the PSP is selling bad. The PSP is doing just fine and I wouldn't be surpraised if Sony trys again to go against Nintendo in the handheld market cause competition is good.

25 million 25 million is about right, but I think that number is only the number shipped not sold..... Nintendo counts in the number of units sold, meaning that the DS has sold about 36 million units worldwide (that was the last estimate I heard about a week ago on IGN).

Call of Duty Road to Victory, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, Coded Arms: Contagion, Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas, Tomb Raider: Anniversary, Gran Turismo 4 Mobile, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Fina Fantasy Crisis Core, Final Fantasy Tactics....you want me to keep listing cause I can keep going. All the above titles are AAA projects. Now who has better games. Oh I forgot the New Castlevania game exclusive for PSP. None of those games are coming to DS why because DS has crappy graphics.
