Is RAGE worth picking up?

I can't decide. I'm trying to get all the must play games coming out arond now(Akyrim, BF3, Arkham etc) and i can't decide if it fits in with those.

I´ll get it when it gets a good sale price,not the full price though.

In all honesty it's only worth a rental.

I personally don't think so. The campaign is way too short to merit paying full-price for.

For sure! It may not be the best game out but it is a very solid title, with great graphics, and a lot of content for your $$. Think Fallout, but with much better graphics. Actually I enjoyed this better than Fallout.

A friend gifted it to me and I'm still downloading it.

From what I hear, its post apocalyptic anti Fallout. Less exploring, no world shaping, no complex inventory management or health and radiation bars. Just you, your guns, vehicles, and a bunch of people who have no moral qualms with assigning a mute the task of killing dozens of dangerous raiders.

I love Fallout so I might not totally dig it, but it sounds fun and I've been waiting years for it.

No. It's only worth a rental. The game is a chore to go through and just about every single mission has you play as a delivery boy. Go here, drive throught wasteland, kill bad guys/pick up said item, go back to town give item. Rinse repeat.

great graphics, great character designs, great town and area designs, very nice colors.

what a crap story though. Totally did not suck me in.

and i know it sounds silly but a game like these that try to diffuse the genre's, i need a decent story.

That's one of the major complaints that I've been seeing, that Id just couldn't tie the story together. And it would have only helped the game if they did it well, at that.

Still, the game looks awesome and I know I'll be playing the PC version when I finally get around to buying it.
