at first it was fun just like RE4.. but as you play along where enemies evolve it is getting boring and not fun anymore.. from normal african enemies to african tribe to commando wannabe's zombie.. RE5 is a little bit disapointment for me.. But a fine purchase its just that im expecting much more from that because its RESIDENT EVIL. And the ending is not good..

RE5 and RE4 don't feel the same compared to RE1 to RE3 RE1 to RE3 are more survival horrorish than RE4 and 5. So personally... RE1 to RE3 >>>>>>>> RE4 and RE5

Without co-op, it's not that great. While playing online co-op, preferably with a friend, it's actually very fun. Headsets are a must though.

The cutscenes are awesome, the gameplay is clunky and dated, surpose you could call it boring, but watching the cutscenes is enough to keep me entertained.

I wasn't that impressed... I liked 4 much better.

I hate the move to make every game co-op... some of us still want that old single player action.

But we live in a world where reviews mark games down for not having multiplayer/Co-op, even when there designed as single player games. Ive seen so many reviews from so many places where people complain that a game like Bioshock lacks multiplayer.

I think devs just tack it on these days expecting the complaining ahead of time, and then thereview slates the game for having bad mulitplayer.

Its a no win situation.

I think that's part of it... I also think that developers are using are trying to maximize the profits of their games by including "money making" features. Features that the top games usually include... such as co-op and multiplayer.

Ok. No. The ending was terrible and mediocre at best. It was very blockbuster with no sense of terror. I really want to spoil it but it's not worth it. Also why are people thinking it is ok if a game last you for a month? Waste of $60 bucks. I have PS2 games i still play...

It was good for a couple weeks and then like all other games this gem it gets old quick. That's my opinion. :)

RE4 (and 5, since it's basically a graphical update to RE4) aged horribly. They both use mechanics that you wouldn't expect to see, and haven't seen, in an action-adventure game this generation.

I found it boring just from the demo.

Their are "money making" because the majority of people enjoy multiplayer games :| You make it sound as if it is a gimmick. Synthetic_NinJI

The majority? Are you sure? I know plenty of people who never play multiplayer and don't want to either. But its annoying when a dev is making a clearly focused singleplayer game, and they waste time tacking on a multiplayer when that time could be spent making the singleplayer experince better.

When i want some multiplayer gaming, i play multiplayer focused games like TF2, CSS, Supreme Commander,Demigod etc you won't see me playing the tacked on rubbish multiplayer from a singleplayer focused game.

Saturos3091

Just to answer this, I found the demo hideous, and was going to skip the game entirely. However, I bought it, and my friend did too. It was a highly enjoyable game, even with out-dated mechanics. Mind, I actually preferred the fact you couldn't move and shoot, it would have completely and utterly destroyed the game in my opinion.

1. If your not playing on Veteran the game is painfully easy. The first two difficulty levels should even exist. 2. RE5 is the best game ive played this gen, bar none. Thats opinion of course, but sucks you can't get into it.

I was thinking about renting it when I had a friend over, but I decided to save some cash. :P I didn't like RE4 very much either, but I can definitely see how a coop experience would've enhanced the gameplay.

The game was built (enemies/AI/etc.) around the fact you couldn't move and shoot at the same time. If you could move and shoot I think it'd destroy the game as well, but had the game been created in a different fashion (perhaps by not trying to keep what very few old RE fans are left), I think they could've pulled it off successfully. Not really a complaint on my part, however I found the inventory system, controls, and AI quite irritating.

IMO I didn't think it was boring but a bit disappointing. It didn't exactly live up to the awesomeness which Resi4 showed us. Also the coop is fun as hell.

RE5's a good game but no where near the quality of RE4 but the online co-op mode and Mercenaries made it really addictive. And the Platinum trophy was easy to get too. :)

Chapter 1-3 were great, frantic, intense. After that, it just got annoying. And Chapter 4 came STRAIGHT OUTTA Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Thats not a good thing.

It was really fun.But it got boring after playing it for a month.
