I think they said sometime back in an interview to not rule out BC in any future PS3 builds just yet, but don't quote me on it.

I mean blu ray player

I have been scouring eBay for standalone BR players. I could get one for about $250 new if I played my cards right. Overstock had a Samsung for $300, I believe. Im hoping for sub $200 soon.travt-down

If you get a stand alone, get one that is upgradeable through a firmware update. If not your screwed when Blu Ray profile 2.0 comes out.

It hasn't been announced, but I'd be very surprised if they aren't working on an emulation for the 40gig.
