Is the 360 winning the RPG war?

So far.... the 360 is definitely winning the RPG war, which is suprising because PS/PS2 destroyed the competition with RPGs...

Right now, the 360 has... Enchanted Arms, Oblivion, Phantasy Star Universe, Final Fantasy XI... soon will have Blue Dragon, Two Worlds, Eternal Sonata, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Fable 2, Fallout 3, Last Remnant... and I'm probably missing something else...

The PS3 has Oblivion and Enchanted Arms, and not much to look forward to in the future except FF13 and Fallout 3...

Plus it seems like this generation, the 360 is getting nearly everything the PS3 is getting RPG wise (except FF13, as of now anyway)... Unless the PS3 starts getting more system exclusive games, why should an RPG fan buy a PS3?

Given that the only 2 RPG's available for the PS3 right now are Enchant Arms and Oblivion, both games that were available on the 360 over a year before the PS3 I think it's pretty tsafe to say that yes, right now the 360 is winning.

But the Playstation 3 still has better Japanese support so it probably won't stay like that for too long. But having said that the 360 still has Mass Effect which could well be the best RPG created in years, has mistwalker and also has some support from Square Enix. But again we'll have to see how long the Square support lasts.

just a heads up dude, echanted arms is multiplat so is last remnant, and oblivion.

and dude i'd gladly take FFXIII, and FFXIII versus over every 360 rpg.

lastly you do know that the ps3 list of rpgs is going to increase, apparently bioware are working on an exclusive I.P

Sega are working on two exclusives one being a rpg/strategy/action game called battle of the valkyria

If you take the multi-platform games out of the picture...

The only real PS3 exclusive RPG that's been announced is FFXIII... and there's been many rumors that it might not be exclusive... I've never heard of white knight story...

Add in the multi-plats and the 360 has a much brighter RPG future...

Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII are good enough. Then theres White Knight Story, isn't there gonna be another Shin Megam Tensei (or whatever its called) which is liked by alot of people. They also have a BioWare IP, and the deal with NCsoft so they have some western RPGs.

disagree with 2008, Fable 2, infinite undiscovery(well heck ff13 doesn't have a release date either), Cry on(see previous) i want those three games shown at TGS. BTW high chance ff wont make it out in NA in 2008... Its going to be close next year.

but definitely this year sony has been a huge disappointment i mean freaking folklore is all the can do? at least 360 has 4 Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, and Blue Dragon.
