Is the DS Nintendo's only TRUE console out at the moment?

Ok now im a Nintendo fan, have been since the late 90s, but whats going on?

Nintendo has had HUGE success over the last few years- but with the Wii it looks like they've just shafted the true gamers & instead gone for gimmicks & games marketed at casuals & grannies!

now WHY didnt they follow the strategy with the DS & do both?

thus appealing to the core audience but expanding it as well. the DS has a great mix of games & this is why Im saying its Nintendo's ONLY TRUE console out at the moment!

Im sorry Wii- but until Nintendo start looking after the core gamers- In my book you arent a true console- more like a Toy.

I think they are trying to follow the same strategy with the Wii to the DS but they have gained too much momentum on the casual games side. Give them a few years and they might sort it out. Or not.

Its a console you play games on it..... you can play great VC titles or games like what was mentioned above....

Nintendo made a brave move in trying a different approach to gaming, if your really that bothered, dont play it.
