definetly not, if you have a blu-ray player just stick with that.

The only other good thing for Hd-dvd is the 5 free movies.

NO, it's overpriced. I have it and hardly use it due to the lack of MOVIE STUDIO SUPPORT.

I would wait until Blu-Ray forces the HD player to go down in price, to at least $100.

As a HD-DVD owner, I have been suffering from Buyer's remorse.

It doesn't have Lord of the Rings. Sure, there is a copy of it coming out someday, but it isn't out.

If you have a HDTV and $200 to spare, sure. They look as good as Blu-ray titles and having both formats is the only way to get all of the movies you will want in HD. Now as to which format is going to win? The answer is neither. HD movies on demand is now being offered in my area and netflix is soon to follow. I don't have the space for many more movies, so on demand is the way of the future for me.Justmyopinionthough,maybepeoplewantabuchofuselessdiscslayingaround.

That's EXACTLY WHY M$ backed HD-DVD, to keep them around long enough for both formats to fizzle. Their plan is working, at least on you.

it's not worth it at all

personally, i stuck with blu-ray, because it really has the upper hand, and seems to be doing a lot better than hd-dvd. but, only time will tell.
