It has all the games you could ever need, but it will cost you a little more money than the consoles, unless of course you need to buy an HDTV or something. Than the PC would probably be cheaper.
But it depends on what kind of games you like, if you don't like racers and fighters all that much. Get a PC definitely because it pretty much rules in almost every other department.
If the PC had more support from non-Indie Japanese developers and had support from Nintendo while being able to be small enough to carry around with you (since then it could be a handheld) then yes it would be.
That saying it statiscally is the best.
And no offense but if you want graphics, sheer power, and online the PC makes consoles look more like a joke in that arena.
Dont ask us. Which system has more games you want to play? Then get that system.XaosII

[QUOTE="_AquaX_"]does it have good enough games that make consoles "obsolete" (not saying that it doesgoddamn_
Here is the list of future big PC exclusives: Dragon Age, Starcraft 2. End of list
Heres the problem, the vast majority of high quality PC games come out of the blue and don't have a lot of media behind them. Why? Because they mainly come from indie developers. There are great looking games that are coming from indie developers.Heres the problem, the vast majority of high quality PC games come out of the blue and don't have a lot of media behind them. Why? High quality PC games? Are you talking about 90-th?

Indeed I am, I'm even including AA games. Most great PC games come out without us ever really knowing about them. WiC was a complete total suprise. Out of the air an AAA game just materialized for the PC and everyone was like, "wuh?". Thats how the PC works.Ignor the pc dude. Really.VideodoggYou realize we're telling him to buy the platform with the games he likes right?

I like how the hermits are telling him that the PC is a great choice but he should really go with his preference, and then consolites come in here and just tell him to not get the PC at all.

No, he can have a pc, its great for internet and stuff....just dont bother gaming on it.
Nice way to avoid the topic, you realize we are talking about games right? And you're still telling the TC what to do. You consolites are so nice.
EDIT: Ah, you deleted your post. Nevermind, it's below mine. You deleted it again, make up your mind. :P

Games coming up for PC in 2008

I don't play RTS and MO. This means gaming PC for me is totally useless now in the middle of 2000-th

Well I don't play fighters and action adventure games, so consoles are completely useless to me. The fact of the matter is that the PC has the most exclusives and highly rated titles. But again, its all about preference. You can scream, "LAWL I DON LIKE THOSE GENRES" all you want....oh and its MMO, but that doesn't mean jack.[QUOTE="goddamn_"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"]Indeed I am, I'm even including AA games. He hasn't responded though.. Which makes me believe that this thread was started just to start a debate or argument.

I'm mostly fan of shooters/racing/RPG. Action adventures are also fine, Ninja Gaiden is one of the best games ever made.
Also I like turn based tactics, but none PC or consoles have such games for the last 4-5 years

Actually, the PC is ahead in shooters and RPGs, and tied in Racers. As a matter of fact, the PC had the only next gen AAA racing title well into half of the current generation.[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"]Well I don't play fighters and action adventure games, so consoles are completely useless to me. goddamn_

turn based tactics? You mean something like Heroes III and Fire Emblem? Perhaps you should give King Bounty's Legend a try when it's out.

OK, shooters that I bought since the end of 2005 - COD 2, PDZ, Halo 2, GRAW, Black, COD 3, Gears, R6 Vegas, Crackdown, GRAW 2, Bioshock, Halo 3. 3 multiplats with PC. Good PC exclusive shooters during this time - STALKER and Crysis. Consoles ahead.
Racing - Burnout Revenge, Burnout Paradise, PGR 3, PGR 4, Forza 2. PC - another couple of games from Sim Bin with 35 cars per game. Consoles ahead.
RPG - Oblivion, Mass Effect. PC has same Oblivion and Witcher which obviously not same level as Mass Effect. Consoles ahead.

So my favorite strategy games are UFO 1/2, Jagged Aliance 1/2, Myth 1/2, Commandos 1/2, Close Combat (till 5). HoMM 1-3

Are you serious? why don't you take you fanboy goggles off and cut the multiplatform games out cause they can be played on a PC. Also Witcher>>>>>>MassEffect, I played both and obviously know better.[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"]Actually, the PC is ahead in shooters and RPGs, and tied in Racers. You realize that Witcher is just as good, if not better than Mass Effect, and that we also have Oblivion? Half of the games you said are also on PC, and are better on the PC as well. The PC has tons of unique games. Your failure to acknowledge those games shows just how little you know ab out the games that are released on the PC.Get a console if you dont wanna spend too much money, pc if you have enough, but if you love racing games, consoles are by far the best... Strategy games: pc by far... First person shouthers:Great on both, will be pretier on pc but still descent on console, sports games: I think more variety on console...
Enjoy and don't listen to someone who's clearly for a specific format, he just trying to belong to a clan LOL
Racing is debateable, with games like GTR 2, GT Legends, the Trackmania series, etc.Get a console if you dont wanna spend too much money, pc if you have enough, but if you love racing games, consoles are by far the best... It really depends. If you're a big fan of FPS, MMO, and RTS games, you'll choose the PC as your gaming medium of choice. Basically, if you're more into online games, PC gaming is for you.
But if you get a gaming PC, you probably should get a secondary console like a Wii/360 to get the best of both ends.
You just said it "isn't far behind"usuleAnd by that I mean, maybe one AA title, which doesn't mean much, and besides, it is tied for all intents and purposes.

SimBin games are good, I especially like GT Legends cause old wild cars, not this modern FIA GT cars that are much easier to control
Call them waht you will, I call them AA games.[QUOTE="Videodogg"]Ignor the pc dude. Really.DragonfireXZ95

Hey, don't forget that "the elitist bastard" title is reserved for us, ya know
Only go PC if you want to play 3-4 exclusives every 5 or so years.wok7
Did you see my O RLY owl just now?

Playing them in HD might be a special bonus, but we all know that PC lacks that kind of surreal technological feature, which only consoles are able to provide.
