interface better on the 360: Sort of.....I like the XMB and how you can scroll over and look through all your videos quickly, instead of moving over to the media section, clicking videos, then what type of videos.....
connectivity with games: eleborate on what you mean by that.
Achievments: I personally think the achievments are a joke. It's just a number. PSN Home has actual scale trophies from games which are interactive, and you can have videos of what you did to earn achievments (like beating the final boss on god of war).
PS3 is much more polished. You don't hear about a massive number of PS3s breaking down like those breakbox 360s. It's very quite too, and whenever I play I sometimes need to check to see if it's actually on or not. When I hear a 360, I go over to the window to see if a 747 flew by. XBOX 360's have had massive problems with the disc tray, the HD DVD player, the 3 rings, prone to overheating....and it just has way to many problems. I just don't get why developers don't realize this, and still develop for the 360. Hell, microsoft hasn't even done anything with the new consoles, you still hear about breakdowns.
I think it has a lot to do with the release of the two consoles. 360 was rushed to the market much like the PS2 and hence the system has a few hardware issues...
PS3 was delayed several times and despite being a powerhouse it manages to run quite smoothly from what I hear.
I found Wii to be silent, which was great.Â

The same reason they didn't stop developing for the PS2 :|

The 360 isn't that loud and the new drive makes the noise level low.
Â
a FEW hardware issues: issues with the disc drive making loud-cracking noises, issues with the disc drive reading a game as a DVD, issues with the system breaking down all together after a week of getting a refurbished one from microsoft, issues with the HD DVD drive making loud cracking noises, prone to overheating, prone to freezing. The Breakbox 360 is a shoddy piece of crap when it comes to reliability, and mediocresoft can burn in hell for that.I think it has a lot to do with the release of the two consoles. 360 was rushed to the market much like the PS2 and hence the system has a few hardware issues...

There weren't many, I only heard about that 1 case from kotaku. Show me a news paper article showing that this happened....I can show you plenty of articles showing breakbox 360's breaking down. And no, it doesn't happen anymore, again I believe it was just a few isolated incidents.Dude people at launch in North America had problems with the PS3 slot loading drive not working. Does that still happen or was it the first batch of consoles that had that problem.

I guess you said the same thing to Sony when the PS2 was breaking left and right. :|

Dam straight.I definitely agree that the PS3 is the more polished system. compared to the 360, the PS3 seems more like a high end home entertainment system...and it's shiny. :PRyeferd
the only reason i like the ps3 better is cuz its shiny lol, no but yes i do think the ps3 is more polished and once home gets here.........you won't be hearing about xbox live being the best online service anymore

but it still sounds like a vacuum cleaner compared to the ps3s silence
From a hardware standpoint the PS3 is a superior machine with sleek looks, built in bluray and powersupply along with low noise and heat.
Now the 360 kills the ps3 when it comes to the user interface, live integration, etc, sorry, the PS3 interface looks slick, but is a pain to use...too much like my psp.
[QUOTE="e20Dylan"]hands down its the better console PS3_3DO
But not for playing games. The 360 has the best GPU thats why it generates a lot of heat.
Â
Wow....just wow. It's easy to have fans/heating pipes/smaller chips in systems to make sure overheating isn't a problem. Mediocresoft is just cheap and wants your systems to break down all the dam time. And I'd like to remind you.....gpu=graphics. graphics=/better for playing games. The PS3 has a much better CPU than the 360...you don't see those breaking down all the dam time. If you're playing a game online, it will (right now) be better on the 360. If you're playing single player or split screen, it's really an opinion......but I'd say PS3.If by polish, you mean aesthetically pleasing, then it's really up to opinion. But in terms of features and functionality, the 360 dashboard is much much more robust.
The blade system allows them to use real estate on the whole screen.
It allows easy access to all its features.... features that are available in-game as well. With the press of the guide button, I have access to my messaging and options... regardless of whether I'm streaming media, playing a game, watching a movie or listening to music
Dashboard features are also accessible on the web, where you can manage your messaging, friends list and options.
If by polish, you mean what you can actually DO with that interface.... the 360 is a step or two ahead.
I haven't played a Wii, so I can only compare the 360 and PS3, but it seems to me as though the PS3 is the more elegant system in terms of the interface and how it works. I fully understand that it's the games that matter, but the differences in other aspects seem rather noticeable. I just bought my PS3 yesterday, on launch, and I was surprised at how the little things can make a big difference. For example, text input on the PS3 is a lot easier, whilst the 360 feels far too clumsy and a little 'clunky', like the rest of the menu. Other examples include, disk read errors on my 360, and the disk tray which judders in and out. My PS3 is also pretty much silent which is a nice change from the noise of the 360. It just seems to me as though more care was taken when making the PS3. Thoughts?SolidSnake35I would agree with what you've written. Many don't care. But it seems like you appreciate the attention put into it and I do as well.
