Is the psp dead or does anyone still play

I'll have to wait to get a Vita then I will be downloading all the games I wanted but haven't gotten plus Final Fantasy Type-0.

But Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep isn't for download:cry::cry:

I still play mine from time to time. There are some incredible games on it.

final fantasy type-0 and black rock shooter are 2 of the last big games that come to mind. Trails in the Sky SC is coming at some point as well, but there's no date. Been playing Fate/Extra, Persona 2: IS, and Project Diva Extend lately.

Of course people will still play their psp's here and there as a whole though the psp has been dead for awhile now.

Type-0 will probably be the last new release I'll get for mine. The handheld has been a letdown since day one.

Because I held fast to the hope of better games. The damage was already done, so no harm in sitting on the device until something good came along.

PSP is my biggest library this gen. :o

I played on the PSP and have some games for it, but honestly I just don't play the darn thing at all.

All I can hear is "I don't play PSP therefore it's dead". It has a great catalogue of games if you know what you're looking for.

All I can hear is "I don't play PSP therefore it's dead". It has a great catalogue of games if you know what you're looking for.

Well this argument can go for the Wii as well.

Considering the PSP's successor is coming out in 2012 too. (the VITA)

The Wii while having a lot of Games as well has a successor due next year (the WiiU) so it would be natural that both systems are dieing.

But by all means, they're both not dead yet.

To each his / her own I guess. Even the 3DS that I talk alot of crap about still has at least a couple of games I own port or not that wouldn't make me sell it.FlamesOfGrey

I'll badmouth it four ways from Sunday, but I wouldn't sell it off, either. There's a few games on there I still enjoy (and one of the best I've ever played).

Hated Disgaea.

Dissidia (and 012) were fun to play with friends. Zidane/Firion FTW!

Crisis Core was meh.

i have mines but never play it i got dissdia mgs peace walker and kingdom hearts, so yea basecially it dead i only played dissdia the rest never touched it

It's alive for me. Been stocking up on games during the holiday sales and bought around 30 or so games from the Playstation Store recently. I'm just getting started with my PSP.

PSP died in February.

Nope because people sstill play MH in Japan so yep it's still alive and well.

When the Vita is released, the PSP won't stay on the shelves for long. It will disappear quickly. It will probably continue to sell for a while in Japan.

I'm going to buy one once the Psp Vita releases. Should have a nice price drop then ;)

Well first, the PSP has already been out 7 years. Second, they are going to continue the PSP after the Vita releases :| New model and everything. Thanks for playing.

Nah there still a few games still coming, at least in Japan. Outside of Japan it looks like only Grand Knights History and Final Fantasy Type 0 are themajor upcoming ones.

Well on system wars it has been dead for years .
Final Fantasy Type-0 and Black rock shooter (psn supposedly) is coming to the states as are some other nice games that are coming out to jp that might for some reason come stateside to psn (since vita can download psp game maybe) like the new Suidoken, Digimon, and supposedly a second type 0 game that is in the works.
Xseed said they would localize the other LoH games but they might not.
The psp is on its last legs out though.
