Is the Wii dead now that Skyward Sword is out?

Played Skyward Sword... Beat Skyward Sword... Whats next for this console now? only "real" game I see coming from Ninty is Mario party 8... which is why I use quotes for real as its another Wii party game. Is the Wii officially dead?

Beyond Xenoblade, a whole lot of nothing. Hopefully the drought now ushers in a good flow of games for the Wii U when it hits in the second half of 2012.

Xenoblade, Mario Party 9, Rhythm Heaven 2, Dragon Quest 10.

Those games have already been released. And Pandora's Tower and TLS are only coming to Europe.

Xenoblade and Mario Party 9 for me.

Xenoblade, Dragon Quest X and Last Story. Then it can die.

Wii is in a bit of a coma. It'll wake up again when Xenoblade is released in NA.

After I finish SS and Xenoblade, yes it will be dead for me. My fiance still loves it though.

It's not 'dead', but I would say it's done.
A console Is only dead if it does not reach what it was intended to reach IMO, and Wii reached what was intended, so now it's done.
Examples of dead consoles are the dreamcast, virtualboy, Jaguar, among others.

There is The Last Story and Pandora's Tower, not a lot left but until those 2 come out it is not dead.

It is if you're not into JRPGs or party games.

It's basically dead, but with Xenoblade Chronicles releasing next year we'll hopefully get stuff like The Last Story as well and let the system end on a high note.

When the PS2 came out, there were sill PS1 games coming out. When the PS3 was released, big PS2 titles came out. When the Vita was released, the PSP was in the midst of a solid year and even has games yet to come out.

I don't think "oh well, new console" is an excuse for the system not having games. The system already showed signs of slowing down prior to the Wii U and in all likelyhood the Wii U was rushed out in response to this.

Its on its deathbed, I'll say that. Until the Wii U is out, it will get some games, and past then I can see it having an occasional game or two for a short while. It was pretty successful, but I don't see Nintendo supporting it like Sony supported the PS2 after the PS3 was out.

It's not officially dead, but yes, it's basically dead save for a release here and there in the coming months. Glad I got mine rather late and still have a ton of games I still want to buy for it.
