Is the Wii overlooked too much nowadays?

I have seen little to no hype on NSMBW, Wii's biggest game this year. Little Kings Story which is IMO one of the best games on the system isn't talked about on doesn't get disscussed on podcats. You get the idea, right? Is it just me or is it just the fact that there's not a lot of good games coming out for it right now?

It's not that there hasn't been good games coming out for the Wii, but none of them are the truly mass-market games like Halo, GTA, CoD, etc.

If a website wants hits they're going to cover the most popular games. Not games like Little King's Story.

I mean just look at Gamespot. Halo 3: ODST got it's review posted the day of release, and lots of us are still wondering where our Mario and Luigi 3 review is.

Think about the type of games the Wii excels in.
Now think about the type of people post on game forums.
Now think about the type of games reviewers like.
Put it together, its not a hard concept.

It certainly deserves a bit more attention than it's getting.

Yes it's frequently overlooked or flatout ignored by GameSpot.

SW thinks LKS is a kiddy game, so it's not discussed often SW thinks Maro is being milked, so it's not discussed often SW thinks Wii games are last gen because of graphics, so they're not discussed often SW thinks Muramasa is dumb cuz it's 2D, so it's not discussed often SW thinks motion controllers always make things worse, so they're not discussed often SW thinks no Wii games are teh hardcore cuz it has no blood, so they're not discussed often SW thinks....... It's okay, but saying it's an important Wii title is messed up.

The hate was more for the poorly designed peripheral it was attached too. I agree, Crossbow Training is fun, and I'm glad I picked it up for $3 US. Well worth it. :)
